:( Heroic effort from Pushy though. Deserves to bat way higher than No.11. Joke really that a guy who averages over 27 in FC is batting at No. 11.
Lewry came in as a nightwatchman and did well. And apart from him, Pushy was the only player in the Sussex team to average less than 30 in FC cricket. So number 11 it was.

On a very, very small point - the commentator on Radio London keeps pronouncing Dippenaar's first name as 'boater' - but shouldn't it be 'booter?' (or maybe 'boarta'). I thought the 'oe' sound in Afrikaans was pronounced as in 'shoe.' Perhaps one of our Dutch, or South African, friends can clarify.

Anyway, Dippenaar gone for 143 now. Afzaal takes his wicket with a full toss.
booter is closest i guess, although oe is pronnounced like 'shoe' boo(as in saying boo to scare somone) followed by ta (as some people say 'ta' to thank someoe)

soo boota

Am I right in thinking Davies moving on is a distinct possibilty ? Read something the other day suggesting he is keeping his options open. Would be a big blow for Worcester, as if they need another one after the terible news of poor old Simon Jones.
Well he's refused to sign a new contract and wants to see who would come in for him. Then the news the other day was Surrey had given Worcs the 28 days notice needed to approach him. Coupled with the fact we've had such a ****ty season. Meh i dont hold any hopes he'll be here next season :@

I can't imagine Davies would be happy to go to Surrey as Jon Batty's understudy, so it sounds as if Batty is thinking of calling it a day at 34 - after he's picked up his benefit cheque of course. ;)

Could Warwickshire save this one? 16 behind with four wickets standing going into the final session. Any Bears fans on here?

And Kent aren't going to make 470, but four wickets for Essex to take could be troublesome.

Yeah I heard they asked his agent what terms he wanted...then offered him those terms, so I guess it fair to say he's looking elsewhere. There were rumours Batty was going to retire last year, so going to Surrey would probably be a good choice.

Newman and Brown (first bowl in f-c cricket) are bowling at Leicester, so it's safe to say Surrey have given it up. Not a bad couple of weeks though, at least we're in the top three.

Onions 5-27 at Edgbaston, Warks 1 run ahead with two wickets standing. Might have to switch commentary soon I think.

Didn't think Patel would last long after what was said in the 3rd day report.

"Jeetan Patel, backing away so far he was in danger of treading on the square leg umpire's toes, sliced to slip moments later"

Anyway that's 6 for Onions. One left now.

They can play till 6, can't they? Durham should be OK then, Warks are only 8 ahead. Need to wrap it up though.

Yes. Wierd but Sussex has packed itself with batsmen yet lost it because of poor batting.

It goes on overs bowled presumably, think there's 96 in a day. Had 5.1 (ie 6) plus 2 for change of innings already. Will need another 2 for change of innings here. So Warwicks need to get into the 86th over to get the draw for definite. Being bowled out in 85 overs or less will give Durham 1+ over(s) to chase. I think.

Wouldn't put it past Durham to snatch another ****ing draw from the jaws of victory though.

I think you might have to do without him for the rest of the season though, he might even get in for the ODIs. Harmison probably has a bit more to do.

12 more to get.

It's nice to see Fred at least getting some runs under his belt, even though he may fall early in the morning. Oh yee of little faith.
