I take it Fox are barred from showing any Australians play so Nine can do it in their hour long highlights package. ****ing hell.

Nothing worse than watching women on clay, IMO.

Yeah I bet that's the case.

Although I'm enjoying the Ivanovic V Errani match, it's not a usual first round women's clash.

Another ordinary tie-break from Lleyton. Can't see him coming back from 2 sets down, and its looking like another first round exit in a Grand Slam unless he somehow pulls out a come-back circa 2003 Lleyton.

Karlovic's form lately has been mixed, but he was always a good shout for this match. No idea what the bookies were thinking with Hewitt so short.

Its 4-4 in the 3rd, and Hewitt is still yet to win a point on Karlovic's serve in this set :-O

Looks like we're in for another tie-breaker. Can't see Hewitt winning this set now. Needed to break serve at some point and just never had a look-in.

Apparently it is in the second week, but I have no idea why else they would show other matches ahead of what will be one of the handful of Aussie matches this week.

On a brighter note, if Hewitt and the Windies lose tonight (both likely) the high point of my night will be watching someone break down in tears.

Hewitt comes back to win in 5!

Put a bit of dough on Lleyton after he took the 3rd set. Had a feelng Karlovic may tighten up, and boy did he tighten up. Played very pooly in the last 2 sets.

Consdiering the heart and stamina Lleyton has, if he had the weapons that some of the other players nowadays have, he'd still be a top 5-10er. Unfortunately he doesn't though, but at least he wasn't knocked out in the first round like the Aust Open where he drew Gonzalez.

I think he's probably capable of being a top 30-40 player, but anything more than that is unrealistic. Karlovic is something ridiculous like 0-11 in five setters.

Golubev in the second round is winnable, but then he goes out to Rafa. Hopefully if he makes it that far it isn't too painful.

Nah sorry, what I meant was that if he had the weapons that a Gonzo, Verdasco of Tsonga have, he'd be top 5 considering the stamina and 'never give up' attitude. Hewitt's game is not enough to compete with the big boys of present day tennis (as we've talked about in this thread). But if he had them, he'd have won much more than 2 Slams.

If your Monfils, Safin or Tsonga had that attitude to their game, they would be dominant/have dominated.
