Roosters have got to bounce back this week. I haven't tipped them for months but I think they'll get their act together and dominate in the halves tonight.
Hopefully Willie Mason can hold onto the ball once or twice and make things hard for the defense but I'd be surprised. Still reckon we'll get up. Got $10 on it and used them in LMS.

During the Origin period Brisbane usually do quite well, I think they have something like a 70%+ winning percentage. It's the post origin period at the back end of the season that can hurt them. Provided there are no major injuries and we keep most on deck we should still finish top 4.
If our halves stay fit and backline is fine, there really won't be that much participation from the forward pack in Origin this year. Only Thaiday will play all 3 games and Kenny & Parker are possibilities, but I can't see the Origin period being as taxing as usual, especially if there are no major injuries.

Broncos are like my twins were at 18 months - get them out of their routune (ie 16 Friday matches in a row) and all hell breaks loose.
They'll still be there or there abouts though. Very close comp this year. Still reckon Saints have a lot of improvement in them attack wise (Bennett doesn't have his teams peaking in May), and Newcastle the dark horses, with Stom beginning to look ominous, pending Origin impact.

Well when Wayne Bennent was at the Broncos he did take the occasional back hander from a dodgy mining magnate, so I guess over the years they built up enough cash.

Poor old Sharks can't take a trick. Were competitive here (though not really threatening) until that dud call after the little sideline stink led to Saints running away with it. Looking forward to the looming Parra-Sharks blockbuster.

The ref should be questioning his assistant who appeared to deviate well out of the way at the time. He could have knocked the guy out the way possibly.

The thing is though no one in Sydney want to see them play, they basically have the late Friday night game every week here. Was the main reason why Manly had about 10 weeks of Friday night games in a row last season. So there was atleast one match in Sydney that got some rating. Basically they get the worst TV slot in Sydney and best TV slot in Brisbane. Unless another Queensland side starts to dominate, they will play on Friday night for the next 10 years.
