Looking at the way England bowled in the highlights I think that puts to bed the moans about the pitch. Sure if you bowl badly you'll get hammered, but bowl well and you'll get rewards - just have to keep it a bit fuller like Anderson was doing. Might pop round to the match with my camera on Monday.

Wasn't really much movement, Anderson got a touch but used it pretty well, the ball getting wet all the time probably didn't help. Still think it will be very hard for us to force a win. Need a couple of early breakthroughs tomorrow..thought they could have given Swann an over before the close, though that might have been the plan before the light was offered tbf

We have two days to take 17 wickets and possibly score a few runs depending on how long the wicket-taking takes us - I'd say we're still in with a realistic shout of victory IF there aren't too many stoppages

Yeh, was a pretty strong spell. Broad, despite my inclinations against his bowling, is showing talent recently. He is getting the speed up to near 90mph and getting a fair bit of swing. The faith in him may have been unjustified, imo, but it would seem that he is starting to slowly pay it off. (Still going for 4.66 an over, mind).

West Indies 1st innings was extremely non-eventful, other than Gayle's LBW. It is proving a to be a very boring series and the weather certainly isn't helping. With IPL finishing this week, I don't know how I'm going to keep myself entertained at work :) - my iPhone has been a lifesaver there. Checkout my other post with a quick review of the cricket apps for the iPhone - perfect to get you through a boring meeting :laugh:

Guessing his top 10 will feature Bradman, Sobers, Murali, Tendulkar, Hobbs, Warne, Grace, Richards, not sure about the other 2 spots.

Dissappointed at no Sehwag. No Davidson is very suprising too (unless he's in the top 10 which is too high). Dexter above Abbas, Donald, Harvey, Smith, Merchant? CB Fry shockingly low IMO. No Hazare will raise an Indian eyebrow or 2. Flintoff shouldn't be anywhere near that list considering the other names on it. Who the hell would want Flintoff in their team above Pollock, Donald, Holding or Statham? Think Saqlain was a better bowler than Qadir but that's probably just me. Gower and Jayasuriya placed so highly on aesthetic value, no way were they better than some of the names below them. Jon Snow very high IMO.

Definitely agree with bringing on Swanny. I was amazed that he didn't get an over or 2 last night! Get him on sooner rather than later.

Excellent bowling from Broad, perfect timing just before I go off to play a game of club cricket :D Big wicket of Chanderpaul as well, just need to get Sarwan now!
