Can't see Hull getting anything from United, as such the mancs may well get to win the title against Arsenal, in a reversal of seven years ago (although on that occasion Arsenal actually won it in Manchester)

Most likely a second string team against Hull with the CL Final in mind.

Can't see Ferguson risking the chance to win the title against Arsenal. And well, a slip up on Wednesday could still be costly. Obviously you wouldn't bet on Arsenal beating United just now, but don't forget that if United lose their next two games then the title is in Liverpool's hands, more or less

Embaressed against two of the big 4 in consecutive fixtures and if it wasn't for Arshavin we would've completed the trifecta. Highest ticket prices on the planet and they rarely push the boat out to buy genuinely good players. Get to ****.

Pretty sure he'll want it wrapped up by Arsenal. Considering the form of the next two opponents that's highly possible.

Do the play-offs still not bother with away goals?

watching Rochdale-Gillingham with the sound down (felt like sticking some tunes on) and wondering if I'm gonna see pens if it stays 1-1.

Hoping Rochdale win, we've just received an influx of southern teams into our division - Charlton, Norwich, Southampton, Brentford, Exeter & Wycombe, so a nice northwest trip would be good.

Still no away goals, good, can't stand the rule, mind you if we hadn't won a penalty shoot-out with Oxford, I may feel differently.

Obviously I want the Gills for opposite reasons, after the hellishly northern div 2 last year, things are looking decidedly more shandy-drinking and pooftersish in this div.....

Oh and Keith Hill is a bit of a ****....

I'm trying to think how many northern teams are left. Us, Oldham, Carlsile (only just!), possibly Scunny, there might be more, Huddersfield in fact, not terrible but definitely the lower leagues it's like it's League 1 South

TBH it means the northern side of the JPT is weaker which might help our chances of getting to wembley next season

Charlton in the third tier. What's the world coming to...didn't they go forty years without dropping out after reaching div 1?

In what used to the premier league of Yurp

Code:
VfL Wolfsburg 31 18 6 7 67-40 60
Bayern München 31 18 6 7 64-39 60
Hertha Berlin 31 18 5 8 46-36 59
VfB Stuttgart 31 17 7 7 58-40 58
Fairly tight stuff.

Find Charlton's plight vaguely amusing, tbh. Never had a problem with them as a team but the way they ushered Curbs to the door after what he'd done for the club wasn't v edifying. Decent man and a very good manager who'd done wonders for the club (witness plight since) and who deserved far better.

Gills through. God I hope they don't come through. It's the ****ing arse end of England. They actually have signs written in French.
