***Official*** IPL 2009

International Debutant
100 up .... 60 of 41

so even if they take 20 singles, they still have 21 balls to get the big ones

Warner! Shows why he should have been playing from game 1, regardless of whether they played T. Dilshan or not. Should have dropped Vettori if they really wanted T. Dilshan in the squad ahead of Warner and played them both.

Great day for the Aussies - Harwood, Carseldine, Nannes and Warner have all been fantastic and Hayden and Gilly have been good as well.

Very nice innings from Karthik.

I think someone on here mentioned it not long ago but how they say 'that's sensible cricket' after literally every time a player gets a six and then takes a single is bloody annoying.

FFS. I drop Warner from my fantasy team today cause he hasn't got a game yet, then he goes out and hits a 50 on IPL debut.

Really stupid shot by Manhas. Was the second stupid shot by him in as many deliveries trying to go for the big one when they really needed him to hang on.

Ugh Badri could've wo it there. Great 50 for Karthik though.

EDIT: Gone now, Murali loved that dismissal though. He went off!

other one from Murali! .... Bhatia comes in to the middle. Can he hit a couple of big ones?

Kartik departs after scoring a 50 .... sangwan goes too

Chennai home now :)

Great knock from Karthik though. Where the hell was that form 12-18 months ago.

If you thought the IPL didn't mean a lot to the international players, take a look at Muralidharan who took the catch. He was stoked. - Alistair Campbell.

If Delhi bowl first and get taken to the cleaners (not all teams will be as kind to Nehra as Chennai today) then they will really miss Vettori.

Was a tough decision. Delhi's squad is so good.

Yeah, I've said before I'm mixed on the IPL, but the players care. It'd be stupid to deny that.

TT Boy's point regarding AB Devilliers' celebration of his ton was misleading IMO. Its definitely not going to mean as much as a test ton, but just look at Hayden's celebration there, some of Gilly's celebrations etc.

They should look to start rotating players I reckon to give everybody game time ahead of the finals in case of injury and to get a good understanding of the best four players.

Yeah it is a toughie. McGrath is not even in the running for the first XI! :)
