Belated vindication for the ageing egotist*! :happy:

1) J Garner
2) JC Laker

Haven't voted for a twirler yet and Laker must be close to the best left. Could be argued he was a wet track bully, perhaps, but a player can only play the hand he;s dealt & he bestrode his era like Colossus. Only Benaud took more wickets and they cost him 5 runs each more.

*Meaning me, not Waqar.

I think it is fair to say that till Murali of the controversial action came on the scene, Laker, inspite of what one may want to say regarding wickets, was the finest off spinner the world had seen.
