Yeah, several have already commented on the similarity - I'd agree. I guess there must be some amount of evidence otherwise as things stand.

Hmm, have all posts of OB & Jeetz rock been deleted or am I just delusional? If deleted, is that a new policy for handling banned members?

Has been the policy with plenty of Precambrian mult33z. Happened several times already. Don't think it extends to others, but I might be wrong.

And yes, it has become Precam watch currently... not surprisingly so.

Trust me, he'd be duplicating and duplicating if no-one ever said a word about it and completely ignored every post he made (until it got deleted, of course).

Same as Shane Warne, some people will just go out of their way to make trouble for others. It's not purely attention-seeking (although I'm sure there might be some of that as well).

In fairness then, which is the most disruptive and worst for forum atmosphere, letting him stay and those who dont want to know sticking him on ignore, or playing hunt the multi account and suspecting every new person of being a multi? Latter could certainly drive away new members (if your new here, make your first post in good faith, then get called things, probably leave thinking were a bunch of 12 year olds)

I get what you're saying and agree somewhat, but I don't think that we should just allow a member that has been banned to come back, simply because he has caused a fuss and made loads of multis.

Agree with the above strongly. He is breaking rules. Shouldn't be allowed back in just because it is difficult to stop him from creating multis.

Also, I don't think we need to worry about suspecting every account to be a precambrian multi. It is pretty evident when it is not a multi most of the times. Rivera, a new member, from his post shows that he is not precambrian. Precambrian has been pretty easy to identify so far by the way he posts.

Yeah, I said much the same when someone, rather riduculously, said that SW\BLE's latest account hadn't actually made any "bad" posts. Simple fact of the matter is that once someone is banned they're not allowed back just because they keep trying by creating duplicates.

That's how the forum rules work. Sets a terrible precedent if you let someone work their way around a ban just by being a nuscience.

Missing the point IMO. If he is such a nuisance, then putting his one account on ignore will remove the problem for you. If that turns out to be 90% of the boards, then he'd be posting to himself and we'd be none the wiser (if vb could be changed to not indicate that a posts been made in a thread by someone on ignore) Those who didnt have the problem could be happy.

Personally, i had him on ignore, but only at the end when it seemed everyone tried to wind him up and he retaliated. My feeling is that on these boards, especially OT where its random **** and insults posted, ignore is criminally underused and ban is overly thrown about to give a week/month delay to solving a 'problem'

Probably right yeah. There's only one particularly dire poster that i have on ignore but it's actually a pretty good idea. I didn't think so until i actually used it.

Still would prefer if they just kept banning Precam multis.

Leave the witch-hunting to the professionals, and everyone should stop being so hung up about it all. In the end, it's an internet forum and not a case of life or death. We'll deal with the accounts when we are sure of it, but otherwise can we please have people not baiting him, abusing him, etc. Both because of forum atmosphere, and because he enjoys the attention.

If you do have any suspicions about a certain account, feel free to leave a Visitor Message on my profile with the relevant details.
