Yeah, to be honest they are going to have to think about seeding the quarter-final draw in future, as before long we will see all-English semi-finals

Just realised, in fact, that swap Arsenal for Liverpool and you have the exact same line-up as last year.

Should just invite Barcelona to join the Premier League and bin this CL lark off, seems a waste of aeroplane travel in these enviromentally friendly times.

To avoid messing about with relegation we could have Barca replace Bolton, who could then be given the challenge of starting again at the bottom of the pyramid

edit, Tony Adams agrees with me as to what the final will be

but surely the seeding would ensure English sides avoided each other, thus making an all English last 4 more likely?

The domination is getting quite bad. The only side apart from each other the English sides fear is Barcelona these days. Italian teams seem almost clueless against English sides these days and Real are really in the doldrums.

Quite like Arsenal for the CL now, coming in to form, some of their main players having missed part of the season should be fresher than other clubs stars, have 4th pretty much nailed on now.

I meant to somehow seed it so they all draw each other in the quarters. Maybe even the group stage.

Gotta say, I can't wait to see Platini's face if and when there are four English sides in the semis. Would be immense.

Now then, enough of this contemporary bollocks, has anyone thought of the third answer to Towns' question?

Would've liked to see Porto go through from a "easier tie for The Arsenal" point of view, but the thought of Fatini choking on his escargot at the thought of further English dominance makes it almost worth it.

Ah well, some 400 million pounds' worth of toxic assets bound to hit Man Utd and Chelsea RSN.

Man Utd played Barca last time though. Man Utd-Barca final IMO.

TBH I don't think there are clear favourites in either semi.

Can't help but think Liverpool will be kinda pleased to see United go through; and Arsenal for that matter. a lot of fixtures coming up for Arsenal, you have to imagine the Liverpool match - a huge one as far as the title race goes - is lower down on their list of priorities. Then again they still have to play United as well.

Arsenal have just the FA Cup before they play Liverpool don't they?

Yeah, but they have plenty of important games after it...especially if they win at the weekend
