Paging user 'Chemosit' to thread. Andruid could also answer this.

Hi all....

no. he is far better suited where he is, perhaps a place higher.
The #3 spot should be filled by Obanda. He was going fine there till they tried him as opener and since then he has gone to the dogs. If he was in a test nation I'd say he needs a stint at FC level, but Kenya doesn't have that luxury. bottom line, he needs to spend a LOT of time with a decent batting coach.
Kamande is fine where he is in the middle order.

Where did Tanmay Mishra even go?

Uni in India. But he wpuld have just been as temepamntal as these guys...

Now an honest opinion? haha. Its an absolute shame. I wonder how Roger Harper would feel seeing this unfold?
he would give the batsmen a good f****ing dressing down, that's what he would do.

How can they play like that when they are aware that a victory probably wouldve secured a top 4 finish for them. Unexplainable. Hopefully the Irish county players dont play on Friday.

Seelaar not worth mentioning?
As I said, the Dutch don’t have a spinner of any note.

Scotland seem to have woken up but still a huge task. **** knows what the Durham batsman was doing.

Whilst, the UAE just absolutely annihilated Canada.

Eight sides play in the IC Cup. That where you want quanity. I still think teams should earn their WC spots and ODI spots to play with the big boys. The current format of 2 Twenty20 WC spots, 4 WC spots, 6 ODI spots and 8 FC spots is perfect for mine.
in terms of earning the ODI spots, it will be pretty rough on a team to miss out on that simply due to NRR. Agree with the other quotas, but perhaps a second league of ODI teams who play each other and occasional matches against the top teams would work better for the game.

Interesting to note that Afghanistan haven't bowled their 5th bowlers. Remember Ireland took them to peices and they struggled all series. Maybe Scotland are just waiting for them. But they have to take them for 10 an over at the rate they are going.

If this game does not clearly indicate to tjhe Kirsten where games are being lost I do not know what will. They need to sit down with each and every one of the top order batsmen and explain to them that theyu cannot do the job they are selected to do (score runs) if they cannot hang around at 6the crease for more than 30 minutes!

And as i write this Kenya lose the game by a big enough marhin to effectively wipe out the NRR bonus they had from their wins against Afghanistan and UAE. :ranting:

true but i think places in the Intercontinental Cup should be determined on FC performance, not some random OD tournament. And 6 WC slots is good being as it talllioes with 6 ODI slots.

Division Two league matches is probably where they need to increase One Day matches. Rather then just use them as qualifiers for Division One Tournments. Then the sides that finish in the 2-4 play regular tournments against D1. Would make a massive difference for Afghanistan, Uganda and Denmark imo, to have regular matches against those sides.

should be for all sides. Namibia prime example - top of the table in FC, and barring tonight, ordinary at ODI level. There should again be a div 2 IC (perhaps playing over 3 days, not nec 4) with promo/relegation. Ensures all developing teams get regular cricket to improve. Yes, I know it would cost, but peanuts compared to the ICC coffers.

Is Ongondo injured? He and Odhiambo both have to start against Ireland surely.
not as far as I'm aware - just not in great form I think.
I think you are right, but it doesn't really solve the main problem which is the paucity of batting.

Yeah, cant argue with that. I dont know what they can do with the batting. Cant really drop anyone as I dont think Patel is ready for this level. Maybe Bhudiya in as a bowling all rounder? Im running out of ideas.

The problem has always been logitics and infrastruture, not money. They are trying to use the tournment to build the games in their home countries. But it impossible to find time to continually play games in all countries. Which is why they went to two year format. The best solution will be to have tournments in one country and rotate. But as the fact that this tournment took part in South Africa and most tournments these days take part in major countries. The infrastruture isn't there to play games in most of the countries.

Whatever they do it going to be a tough call. At end you need the very top sides always playing each other to develop 3-4 countries that can be competitive at World Cup. Which is the main goal. The next goal is to continually build the depth of cricket so we have more cricket nations that play at a high standard. If anything this tournment should there really isn't another Sri Lanka coming through. Pretty much all the sides are at the same level. But with the current format it hard for the sides in the top six/four to not jump ahead. Namibia are prime explain. Four years away from ODI cricket and other sides have developed their One Day games and they have gone backwards.

I am beginning to suspect something happend in between qualifying for the Super 8s and the Super 8 matches themselves that nobody wants to get out. How could an entire batting line up lose discipline and focus like that
