Finch is rubbish, Kris Keating is the most creative player outside of Mateo Parra have. Give him a month in the number 7 to see how he goes. If not then its come on down Daniel Mortimer.
Nephew of the great Steve, Son of Peter.

One of His older Brothers (Tim) Played fullback in last years Toyota Cup GF.

I went to the same school (same year as tim) and all i can remember is this little annoying **** of a kid 3 years younger than us showing us all how to play footy. Top kid too ftr. Definetly worth a crack at the top grade.

True, but if he's not happy and he's taking up a shedload of your cap, why keep him?
Cus you wont be able to sign anyone till next season and any replacement player will go on next season's cap anyway. So effectively your playing with a smaller cap this season then the rest.

Robson lol he is useless better off playing Cayless at halfback.
Well, he's been running like a half back this year. Was injured int he off season IIRC. Wasn't bad for us at all last year though, in a ****house side.

Only due to the fact that there trying to keep all there local juniors which doesn't free up enough money for recruitment.

And that they have to pay overs for players coming to Canberra, Shillington, Flanagan, Logan, etc... are all on much better coin than they would be at Sydney clubs.
Also as you said a lot of their youngsters like Milne, Dugan, Fensom, Thompson, Carney etc... all needed upgrades to keep them here.

Cronulla must have some room as they have signed Gold Coast's Ian Donnelly after the Titans gave him a release yeasterday and he could make his debut this weekend. After Donnelly's release, the Titans have 9 players off contract and have $800,000 to spare. A lot of them are fringe players anyway, but one of them is Nathan Friend, and if they keep him, they are mad (some fans in local chatrooms have suggested that if the Titans don't give him a better deal, they will rip up their season ticket). He may not be the most talented of players, but he has heart and can make at least 40 tackles a game.

Robson's not that bad. I'm sure you know nothing about him beyond his six first grade games or whatever and he wasn't good in them so you're going to be the typical no-nothing Manly supporter and bag the crap out of him. I bet you think Neumann is **** as well, right?

Robson's borderline first grade standard. He's certainly not better than Finch - he's not awesome by any means - but not many clubs have a backup halfback as good as him.

Watched him play a fair bit in reserves and he is solid back up, but he is well below first grade standard. Just lacks that bit extra to make it. Killed it week in week out for reserves for about four seasons here. Strugged a bit last season as he had no 5/8 and no back play maker. Neumann and NBQ played there. Could do a job with a dominate 5/8, but would be pretty useless with what Parra have. He really illustrates the difference between an awsome reserve grader and being first grade standard. The gap pretty big especially now there is no real reserve grade comp of high standard.

Neumann got all the talent in the world, but drops off massively when he makes a mistake. The difference between him being first grade standard right now is that his not their mentally. Playing 5/8 for most of last season in reserves didn't help him develop his game either imo. Also playing on wing doesn't help. Hopefully when Matai out for his seasonal suspension/injury he gets a shot in the centres. Or maybe this week if Lyon out.

Didn't expect such a reply; I actually agree with every word of it. :p

Still though, as I said, not many clubs have a backup halfback of Robson's standard. He's certainly a lot better than, for example, Marc Herbert. He'd be good with a really creative five-eighth to work with if he could just focus primarily on organising the team - ironically I think he's a poor-man's Brett Finch.

Honestly can't decide between Cronulla and Canberra. Will almost certainly swap tip 100 times before kick-off.
