Harsh. The Dutch top-6 is the best batting line-up in Associate cricket imho; the only one without a passenger.
Hmmm. I think we may have you there- our top four are all county pros, and Kevin O'Brien and Andrew White aren't in the same class, but as they showed yesterday, they sure as hell aren't passengers.

But i don't know enough about the Dutch batsmen beyond RTD to say who's actually better.

Naahhh...we're better ;)

I don't think there's much to choose between the two, really. Zuiderent and Kervezee are at county pro level imo, and I would rate Szwarczynski and Van Bunge not much below that. Reekers/De Grooth are slightly below that but Reekers has his big hitting going for him and De Grooth seems solid enough. I actually made the comment because they seem to be in such excellent batting form collectively.

that is bull****...Zuiderent and Kervezee? Schiferli?

no way that the dutch are a one-man team...how did we end up at the 2003 world cup then?
Schiferli has always had potential, but never really performed at a consistent level to be in the top backet of associate bowlers. Injuries have probably killed him though. Eveyone know the Holland bowling attack it pretty toothless. I'm sure even you will admitt that.

Batting wise Zuiderent and Kervezee are class. But I actually don't rate their depth at all. Would have Ireland, Scotland, Kenya and Namibia ahead in depth in terms of depth.

A bit too relient on a couple players which is why there are relatively inconsistent compared to some of the other sides. When the last time they won a major title? Though they do have a few more match winners then Scotland and Kenya. So can beat any side on their day. But lack the depth to win a major tournment for mine.

Brilliant news for the T20 WC btw, Dirk Nannes has now confirmed he will play for the Dutch after not making the Australian initial 30-man squad.

I actually came to post just this, as I knew there'd be a couple of happy dutchmen (is that the correct term?)

Read it in the paper this morning. Good luck to him, he'll give the Netherlands a real edge in the bowling ranks. Fast. Left arm. Swings. Good Yorkers. Nasty Growl.

A few decent games today. I'd say that Kenya v Afghanistan and Canada v Namibia will be the 'big' games from each group today.

Bermuda won the toss and fielding first v Denmark.

UAE also sending Netherlands in.

Uganda batting first against Ireland as well.
