Looks as if Afghanistan/Bermuda and Uganda/Canada are going to provide the best finishes today. Bermuda need to get a move on though.

Bermuda are batting far too conservatively. They're only two down and they're on a go-slow.

Will put far too much pressure on the lower order in terms of run rate.

In other news, West takes a 5fer with the only other wicket to fall run out off his bowling.

And there we are, another solid 7-wicket win chasing a total that's WAY TOO HIGH, FFS bowlers, get your act together. Winning run a wide, thanks for that you ugly Dane.

Nevertheless, cruising they are.

Peter Connell wraps up the tail, another good victory for Ireland. Reasonably comfortable in the end as it turned out.

Fantastic result for Afghanistan. Hope we can bring them back to earth tomorrow. Shame Uganda let it get away.

Ok - I was one of the last for the second round, so I better get in early for tomorrow:

Canada > Namibia
Ireland > Uganda
Scotland > Oman
Kenya > Afghanistan
Bermuda > Denmark
Netherlands > UAE

all fairly straight forward excepting the Bermuda-Denmark game which should determine who finishes bottom of the group.

going to vent my frustration about Richard Done in this topic and not make a seperate topic for it as I cbb.

Cricinfo - Done on the development trail

I find it very striking that all Richard Done speaks about is Ireland, Scotland and Kenia.

to be fair, Holland has easily outperformed the Scots and Kenia the last few years, especially in limited overs cricket.

fitness he mentions, the dutch are one of the fittest squads in this tournament, their preperation was enormous (bootcamps, fitness sessions and a lot of winter training) just shows how seriously they take it.

Everyone knows Holland are a one man team. If they produce a 2nd player of note people might start talking about them.

Harsh. The Dutch top-6 is the best batting line-up in Associate cricket imho; the only one without a passenger. Admittedly their bowling is weaker than that of Ireland and probably Kenya.

no way that the dutch are a one-man team...how did we end up at the 2003 world cup then?
