Have 2, Broncos and Storm. What kind of a moron tips Raiders, mind you they should have won.

Pfft, that's Furner's way of coaching.

Go full throttle first 70 mins, settle down last 10 mins.

Reckon the Knights & Panthers will fight it out for the wooden spoon.
Knights will be closer to the 8 than the bottom. They just lacked that killer punch yesterday and with Mullen and Simpson out its no surprise. They had enough chances yesterday to be up 22-0 or 24-0 instead of 8-0 when Souths started playing properly. If they had their best player and star halfback on the field then I'm certain they would have won.

One things for certain the Dragons and the Sharks won't be winning the Comp.. Yeah their defences have been good but neither side could score enough tries to be a big enough threat to the competition.

This.

It also seems backing up from a Monday night game is going to be difficult this year, although sample size so far is admittedly small. That game last week with only 14 fit players must have nearly killed Newcastle. They did well yesterday to be as competitive as they were IMO.

Any word on Patterson's injury? Smith said after the game it may be long term, but wasn't sure yet. That'd be a massive blow for them.

Farah is almost a certainty, Ennis is his only competition. Think Lawrence and and Jennings are fighting it out for a centre spot while Heighington needs to pick up. Dont think his form has been as good as last years but I mainly think he's being overshadowed by Ellis.
Don't rule out Ben Smith for a NSW centre spot, if he stays fit. Not because he's flash, but because he is a fine defender and they might want to put him in to try and keep one of Hodges or Inglis quiet.

It's not what I'd do, but it may be what the NSW selectors do.

Dunno about Smith, was absolute gun a couple of years ago and last year was just a write off with injuries, I think see if he can last another year in first grade injury free and talk about him for the year after. Depending on how bad Coopers injury is too, he may miss some games before the rep season starts.

Patterson being injured is about the last thing the Knights need, hes been their best player over the last 3 weeks.

What the odds now on Manly for the spoon. Reckon we are a good bet, might splash ten on them. Play with some heart ****s, don't care if you lose at least put some effect in. It like watching Para from last season.

Amazing the run we had the last two seasons without injuries and suspensions. Though we have lacked a rough diamond this season.

Haha, there's no way manly will get the spoon. They'll still comfortably make the 8, and probably top 4 imo. Just enjoying them having a horror start.

They wont get the spoon, but I wouldn't be putting my hard earned on a top 8 finish before I know what's going on with B Stewart. They can't seem to take a trick without him. They were absolutely dreadful tonight. Did they even complete a set in the first 20 of the second half?

I'm happy with the result, wins at brookie don't come around all the time, but it's a disgrace that we didn't put 30 on them tonight. The only problem with the result is that it will likely be the impetus for ME to go another 10 games of Lewis at 5/8. Though tbf his options are a bit more limited with Walsh out (broken jaw :()

EDIT: Quality from Frankie P to set up Coote for the try :) Reckon he'll have a good year this year coming off the bench.
