So, your suggestion? It's not about making it a hard chase, it's making it an equivalent chase to the pursuit of 240 off 50 overs. If the WI wanted us to chase more, they should have bloody scored more after being 72-0 after 11. It's not a difficult batting track.they need to re-jig the d/l.with the advent of t-20 these kinds of scores will be chased very easily.they need to top load the total for the chasing team.
No, it's easy at present because Baker and Edwards bowled such indisciplined tripe with the new ball.Hopefully there will be more rain to end this farce and we can go home with a no result.
It isn't fair. This is easier for England than 240 off 50 would have been.
How so? I don't think so. That's the whole point of D/L. The R/R required is far higher. The only reason you're saying that is because they're doing a good job of chasing - are we so used to England messing it up that it can't possibly be reasonable if they're doing it with ease?Hopefully there will be more rain to end this farce and we can go home with a no result.

What's happended to Flintoff then?England would have struggled if it was 240 of 50.. With KP and Flintoff out...This D/L always favors the team batting second...Especially in a rain affected circumstance.
So you expect the adjustment system to take account of batting order and injuries? And you expect that to work how?England would have struggled if it was 240 of 50.. With KP and Flintoff out...This D/L always favors the team batting second...Especially in a rain affected circumstance.
Bruise in hand... when he dropped a return catch of BravoWhat's happended to Flintoff then?
Because he's taking a single every ball he faces to give the inform Strauss the strike? How so? I don't think so. That's the whole point of D/L. The R/R required is far higher. Random remarks:
- Strauss seems really determined, good for him
- Bopara is a total muppet
The system should take in to account that the team batting second knew that they were going to chase only for 20 overs and not 50 and some runs should be added for that...So you expect the adjustment system to take account of batting order and injuries? And you expect that to work how?
Yep.England would have struggled if it was 240 of 50.. With KP and Flintoff out...This D/L always favors the team batting second...Especially in a rain affected circumstance.
attempted a caught and bowled and injured his hand, apparently fit to bat though down the order. KP will bat as well if necessary but can't until 7 because of the time spent off the fieldWhat's happended to Flintoff then?
Nope 240 on this wicket was a good score with KP and Freddie out... Injured.. Windies shafted here again by Messrs. Duckworth and Lewis.. Last time it was Dyson...Don't see what's wrong with 135 off 20. It's a below-par T20 score, about the same way as 240 is a below-par ODI score.
Nah - his whole tough-guy demeanour + earring etc.Because he's taking a single every ball he faces to give the inform Strauss the strike?
equivalent chases will turn into farces especially if the match is reduced to 20 overs.look at the way england are playing now-wickets dont matter if its just 20 overs.nothing is equal if the match is reduced to 20 overs-chasing teams will always have a huge advantage. So, your suggestion? I see.Nah - his whole tough-guy demeanour + earring etc.
