The first hour safely negotiated and without too many scares either. Still a bit of movement every now and then from Zaheer and Ishant, a particularly good over from Ishant when he came round the wicket to Franklin and got the ball to swing away then one to cut back in, but Franklin's stuck it out so far.

Ryder looks calmness personified, simply playing every ball on its merit. Has taken the time to get himself back in again, and looks determined to register a real big one here.
