Finishing up with 17 off 72 .
This seriously makes absolutely no sense. I suspect that Woodcock was sent in ahead of Parlane up increase the run rate to allow a declaration late today. If you've been given that order either hit out or get out. Wholly bizarre.

As the NZ v India game is currently too depressing I thought I'd check out the domestic scores.

ND are 121/4 vs AKL
Otago are 129/3 vs Wellington

No hugely notable performances so far - Redmond was out for 76 and Tuffey has 2/22 ([Richie] good figures those [/Richie])

On St Patrick's day Tarun was talking about how Parlane couldn't pick his wrong un and that he'd get him no problem.

Fair call! Haha

Is Nethula the only leggie in the domestic comp at the moment? Seems to have a knack for knocking over the tail but not so successful against the top order. Does he turn it much?

I think so. He turns it quite a bit. Has quite an unusual action in that when you first face him it looks like every ball is a wrong-un. I picked it like that anyway!

Hrmm, that could have been embarrassing!

Looks like Williamson just hit him for a couple of 6s.

Robbie Schaw is a leggie from CD. Had some success but he's no better or worse than Nethula. Can't get a game atm.

Nethula looks a real promising leggie.

Both ND and Otago collapsing in a heap.

Williamson plowing on with 73 but keeps losing partners.

Jeets taking 4 for Wellington against Otago - odd that Wellington's 4 seamers have bowled 23 overs between them while Woodcock has bowled 21 and Jeets 19 - wonder whether it's the pitch at the Basin or just that Bell has no faith in his much-weakened seam attack.

You mean in the sense that he actually turns the ball from leg to off?

I know a good leg spinner.

He's played for my team a few times this year. Has flight, guile and a fair bit of turn. Has a decent wrong'un too. Plus, as an added bonus, he can bat pretty well too.

In conclusion, I expect Searsy has been the star find of the summer for my team.

Well done Kane Williamson, a terrific hundred in difficult conditions. Currently averaging 47 in what is effectively his debut season.

Not taking anything away from his hundred. (I saw a bit of it, and he looked good). But from talking to Matt Horne and Batesy, I was lead to believe that the pitch is nothing short of a typical Eden Park outer oval road.

Unless of course you meant something else by difficult conditions.

Great player nontheless.
