Not hard to figure out really. He's got ginger hair, he's a rich man, so obviously bribed Hilditch and probably bought his family a house somewhere on Sydney's northern beaches. Especially considering the current economic climate that bribe was worth more than it usually is. Hence all rounder status and extended run in the team.

Nah, he's a nurdler, hangs around long enough, is difficult to get out, inevitably picks up some runs. Nice strokes when set, though, especially through the legside. The number of overs he bowls probably impacts on his batting a fair bit.
