***Official India in New Zealand***

NZ take couple of wickets here and they are back in it.
Laxman and Sachin really have struggled to score in session and half. Good tight bowling from NZ.

Very good today. How true were the rumours that the New Zealander selectors didn't want him around?
Very true apparently. Thought he had 'lost his zip' in the England tour and had never regained it.

When you're a 34 yr-old bowler clearly you can't afford to have a weak series or be out-of-form because everyone just assumes you're suddenly past it. Glad Martin is back.

a lead of 150 should be handy on this pitch....its not as flat as it was suggested and think day 4 and 5 should be handy for harbhajan also

Sachin opening up now.

Please get to stumps, haven't seen any of the first 2 days. Will be able to watch tomorrow's play.

Just following the game on Cricbuzz at the moment, the idiots who call themselves Indian fans are criticising Sachin for having a “slow” S/R.

Sachin needs the light. Fair call.

I cannot believe the stupid umpires waited till the batsman pleaded with them to offer the light. What if those edges carried? Terrible piece of umpiring.

Bit of a frustrating day. No doubt our seamers will cop the typical bagging. Thought as a whole we bowled tidily and had no luck. Can see India racking up a mega lead though tbf.

Planning to drive to Hamiltron tomorrow to watch a day's play

Can't see India getting bowled out for under 400. Tendulkar looks set for a ton, and hopefully Yuvraj and Dhoni can support him.

Sehwag must be kicking himself. Dravid was just so painful to watch at times: he's so damn slow.

Laxman's position in the team must surely be under question if he doesn't score in this series.

Mills wasn't too great, it must be said.

Back from work to watch the last hour or so. Absolutely furious with Vettori for wasting the new ball by opening with Mills - no balls, free runs, slow pace - just utter rubbish. He just looks like a broken horse to me. May have a good ODI record, but can't understand for the life of me has he got back into the test side given he didn't play tests against Australia & the WI.

i am sure he will have an above Avg series....if he avg above 35 in the series don't think there is any case for his removal ...
