i don't know how i came to the conclusion that an extremely talented batsmen plundering runs in the Shield for years and a former test representative could possibly dominate the one day game once finally being given a shot at the format and subsequently making runs.

made myself sound a bit silly didn't i ?

I'm not directly disagreeing with your opinion. Rogers is indeed a special talent with the bat, and deserved more opportunities in WA over the years to prove himself at one day level. I just don't understand how he will become pigeon holed, it is becoming increasingly unlikely he will ever play for Australia again in either format of the game. The selectors have simply moved on from him due to age and other players stepping up. Not due to a perception that he can only bat in one mode of the game.

on the final, reports suggest the junction oval has had the heavy roller on auto pilot for 2 weeks and any grass has been shaved off.

victoria to bat first and bat for 3 days and make 1000, making it another boring farce.

calls for a timeless final anyone ? no draws

Don't see why we have one. Has only ended in a classic match a few times.

Anyone reckon Doran will bowl over 20 overs for the match?

I reckon he should definitely bowl more over than that hack I'm-captain-so-I-will-bowl-myself-for-50-overs-per-innings Simpson.

I wasn't comment on his level of bowling tbh, just the fact that for the first time in about 5 years the QLD captain hasn't only thrown him the ball after all other options have been exhausted (More often than not Symonds, Simpson, Carseldine would get a bowl before him)
