What if?...

England would have a far better bowling attack and actually look capable of taking wickets on flat tracks.

What if Kevin Pietersen had decided to stay in South Africa and work on his game there?
He'd make the SA side ahead of Paul Harris as a spinner who could bat at 7. Australia wouldn't have lost an Ashes to England for ages. There would be one less autobiography on the market and CW poster Langeveldt would have one less player to subject to an irrational hate. The CW poster King Pietersen would have registered as King Bopara instead, which unfortunately doesn't have quite the same impact.

What if the West Indies had managed 6 more runs in the WC'96 Semifinal?

Then they wouldn't have test status.

What if Warne didn't retire after the Ashes in 06/07?
He would have still been the best spinner in the world, but Australia would still have lost in India:)

What if bowlers good pitch ala baseball, but still made the ball bounce first?

There would be no fielders on the offside.

Keeping with the baseball theme:

What if double-plays were allowed?

It would make the game more interesting, and G. Wood would still have run out his partner and been safe himself:ph34r:

What if double & triple centuries counted to someone century tally? (does that make sense)

More batsmen considered 'great' would have been found out and there would be waay more overated spin bowlers.

What if cricket became the major sport in the USA?
Cricket would be a truly global sport, also there would be much more money from sponsorships.

What if unlimited referrals were introduced to the game?

70 overs would be a good days over-rate

What if batsman could still be given out LBW from edges into their pads?

Test would have fewer overs, since it takes a lot of time! would be totally unrealistic imho, i'd refer any ball.

What If...Holland was granted test status after this game
1964 brought the Netherlands first victory against a Test-playing nation, with a 3 wicket win over the Australian team

Raymond Van Barnaveld would have never taken up darts and instead become the Andrew Flintoff of the 1980's

What if...Dave Mohammed played 100 tests

wouldn't that be Ian Botham of the 80's?

anyway Dave would've been hailed as the best thing to have ever happend to the Windies...and better then Warne and/or Murali

What If...Andy Flower was English ?

He'd have averaged in the high 20s and been dropped over a dozen times.

What if: Australia had never been federated and its states all played test cricket?
They were all ready playing Test cricket before federation:ph34r:

But I suppose they could have stopped, I imagine that on occasions NSW would have been the best Test team in the World

I will not ask a question because no one answered my last one:@

You still wouldn't be able to be given out lbw to a ball pitching outside off stick (that has to be the sillies experimental law ever)

What if batsmen could no longer be given out for obstructing the field?

There would be no close catches from skyed balls, and lots of blood:happy:

What if a player had to retire after scoring a 100?

Without bothering to compensate for the extra time afforded in the second innings in such a scenario, Bradman's record would read 52 tests, 80 innings, 33 not outs, 4503 runs, average 95.80.

What if cricket were played on a baseball diamond, with four batsmen on the field at a time, with the other aspects remaining as they are now?

My head would hurt and the game would be unrecognizeble.

What if the 90 over minimum per day had been in place during the hey day of the Lloyd/Richards Windies team?

It was. In 1984 I left Lords at 7:40pm on one occasion.

What if Buddy Holly had called his group The Beetles?
