Yeah, and then those three all got out in the space of 12 runs!Less and less valuable of late unfortunately. Plunkett grabs the wickets of Redmond and Flynn (much to their great embarrassment I hope), leaving the fate of the match resting squarely on 2 meter, wonderboy and Jimmeh.
It's because Thompson has been called up to the Black Caps. Rather convenient that the 12th man was a top order batsman coming in at 8 with 200+ more runs to get!I'm confused...was it Robertson or ET playing? For the entire innings it said ET, and now suddenly it says Robertson..i'm guessing ET cause I can't imagine Robertson opening the bowling with his offies.
It's worked a treat though! Robertson on 71* and NZA needing 116 off the last 22 overs for an unlikely win! Although in NZA's defence he has played at number 8 for Canterbury recently.Yeah, and then those three all got out in the space of 12 runs!
NZ A blatantly cheating by substituting Robertson in to bat for Ewen Thompson
Haha nah, it was that other trend that continued... you know, the one where an England team can't get the last wicket in the final session after dominating the match!Robertson brings up his ton. Probably continuing the recent trend of NZ centurions still losing games.
Would imagine it is still FC, this sort of thing happnes quite regularly in CC albeit the other way round (player get released from the test side and enters the match on the 2nd/3rd day)With Robertson subbing for Thompson, does the game still count as First Class? I presume so, but these unusual events sometimes result in the game being removed from the record.
Hmmm... This is a recent phenomenon is it? As I recall, you never used to be allowed subs. Ah well, welcome to the 21st Century Heef.Would imagine it is still FC, this sort of thing happnes quite regularly in CC albeit the other way round (player get released from the test side and enters the match on the 2nd/3rd day)
