Because of the champion George Bailey. Duval handy today too.
Yeah. Love Bailey. However, really needed him to fail yesterday given the gutless S.A. won't be doing QLD any favours. Although, we haven't helped ourselves with a pathetic bowling performance.

damned vile Victorians need to throw their wicket away.

Stupid lame South Australians need to stop throwing their wickets away.

All we need is 1st innings points.

Victoria dominating against the Bulls. Queensland helping Brad Hodge find some form again, been well below par of late and looking scratchy. Not sure what hope Queensland has of knocking the Bushrangers off in the finals, going to take more than a couple good individual performances for the outcome to change.

Surely Simpson's career must be nearing an end. His continued selection is becoming more than a joke. Someone else can take his captaincy role, even someone from within grade cricket. The guy is a serious liability with the bat, and yet again his little off breaks have gone for 80+ runs with hardly a wicket to his name. I know overall Queensland have had a fantastic season, but surely that can't be entirely credited to Simpson's captaincy?

Great for Cleary to pick up a 7fer today. Hard working bowler who probably makes the most out of his abilities. Always liked his cricket after watching him play for Australia A some years back.

Hodge loves playing QLD
Hodge sure is piling on the runs. Victoria will probably bat for as lengthy a time as possible, will only tire the Queensland bowlers out. Hodge to make a triple??? I remember Dean Jones making a triple for Victoria in the twilight of his career after Australian selection was no longer a possibility.

Also read that Chris Rogers passed the 1000 run mark. One of the best coups in recent history is Chris Rogers. Also played well in the FRC, precisely the reason he joined up with the Bushrangers. Shame that he will probably never play test cricket again either, Australian opening partnership is looking very secure.

Brad Hodge is making a last, many would say impossible, bid for an Ashes birth. That's his motivation in this innings. And, to pull off that miracle, I think he knows he needs a quad-ton.

He could & should still make the team as a back-up batsman in a likely 16-man squad.

Yeah, it's nothing or everything against us. Admittedly, not our best bowling line-up, but he's a quality batsman that's for sure.
Not the best bowling line-up, and also a front-line bowler down. Superb effort all the same from Hodge 261. He is just one of those players who is either totally out of sorts, or belting hundreds. Victoria racking up a monster score, the in-form Wade is yet to bat either.

Suprised nobody has mentioned Khawaja's big hundred. Back to back now for the young guy, good stuff. Scored at a pretty decent strike rate to back it up. Though much like Hodge, his innings came against a weakened bowling line-up. Khawaja must back this late season form up next year, can't go back to just showing promise with no results.

CB with 11 overs in the first dig and 5 out of 81 in the second proving to be a solid pick by the SA selectors.

I think a doctor should be appointed to make sure they are not bi-polar. Smash NSW into the ground, and then come against Victoria and play like they have NFI about cricket and what to do. Too bad Watson can't bowl ATM, although I'm not sure what difference it would of made today

One can't helpbut think that, Butterworth might now be on the radar of the Aussie selectors.

Hope Harwood doesn't play in the final, would almost certainly breakdown as he always does. Play Hastings or Wright instead.

Or another batsman, cause don't really need to win:)

Maybe if he played more then one or two good matches a season. Though Ronchi got in with only a couple good games per season, so you never know.
