They capitulated to the rubbish of McClennaghan and Davis in the previous game(s?) though. Just an odd turnaround.

What do you have against these two? Just because they bowl at a decent clip doesn't mean they can never bowl well. You didn't see one ball of that game so what makes you think you can say that they bowled rubbish?

I have nothing against them, I just don't think they're particularly good, in fact, I don't think they're good at all. That may change, they're capable, but judging by economy rates in the last match it looked a classic example of Ian butler 2004 (pie, pie, pie, brilliant ball, pie, pie).

I have nothing against either, they're just not very good. If that changes then awesome, because a guy with extreme pace would be quite nice.

Also, from what I have watched of McClennaghans technique it worries me, he has the James Anderson head drop (which many attribute to his innacuracy) and the Harmison style of whang it in and bounce it at pace but get no movement, it doesn't fill me with confidence as a CD and NZ fan.

Now you say he swings it in the nets, and you don't come accross as a lying idiot, so I'll assume its true. So on top of that, McClennaghan is wierd. Perhaps if we put some wire netting around the test pitches?

Your opinion of them is fair and justifiable. It still doesn't warrant you saying they bowled rubbish in a game which you didn't see.

I've seen crap bowlers take 6fers, and I've seen absolutely rubbish batsmen smash tons. Everyone's allowed to have a good day.

And last time I checked, James Anderson was an extremely useful bowler. Wouldn't mind having him in the BCs instead of Southee tbh.

Anderson is good on his day, but boy when his rythym goes I'd almost rather have Sami in the team.

EDIT: And I didn't say rubbish, I said Ian Butler of 2004, which is five pies and a great delivery. :p

And on Anderson, it was him that bowled that ball to McCullum which turned him around to square leg and dislodged his off stump wasn't it?

One of the best balls I've ever seen.

I dunno, he can bowl some gems though, must be so fustrating for the Brits.

There are few swing bowlers better than Jimmy A on a good day, but on a bad Jimmy A day there aren't many worse either.

Changing the subject? Normal standard? Well :p to you!

Jimmy went on about Jimmy A first, I just compared McClennaghans head to him.

And Heath got me talking about alcohol.

Its never my fault.:schmoll:

Have to agree with Jimmy here. Getting a tad tiresome hearing you bag McClenagananan ad nauseum.

I only bag him when his bowling is being talked about, or in this case see paragraph below. The guy is just mediocre and only ever gets talked about because he is quick. I don't just limit it to McClennaghan and Davis, I have a thing for quicks who are absolutely atrocious but are somehow more talented because they can bowl half volleys quick. (So don't start me on Sami).

And with my comment in this thread, the NZ A bowlers should not be letting England A score 400 odd when a much lesser bowling attack mauled them the other week. That imo, is simple logic.
