pasag got there before me and took Qadir. Ive thought long and hard about this and have about 20 names floating around.

If in doubt go for the big name and hope the lesser known slip to the later rounds.

Waqar Younis (Pakistan)

Oh no - had lined Waqar up as my local player and was going to take him this round! Beginning to regret picking Surrey as my domestic side with Ramprakash and Waqar both gone now. At least I got Saqlain in time...

Kyle, Steve Waugh played as an overseas player for Ireland. You can have him as Aussie though.
Hasn't Kyle picked up Graeme Hick as a Zimbabwean this way? I know hes play for Zimbabwe but they werent official ODI's or anything were they?

He represented Zimbabwe in official FC matches - like these ones:

I think Hick should therefore be counted as a Zimbabwean, sure he didn't play an international match for them but by being included in games like those above thats sufficient IMO.

Edit - Steve Waugh played one official FC match for Ireland, ironically against Australia A - http://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Scorecards/66/66361.html - I'll leave it to Chaminda to sort out what to do!

Yeah, Hick played as a player qualified to represent Zimbabwe. Waugh guested as an overseas player but was not qualified to represent.

Hick was born qualified to represent Rhodesia/Zimbabwe whereas Waugh wasn't born in Ireland.

Reckon Waugh should be fine to play for Ireland.

If a player has represented a team, they should be eligible.

Hick played in the ICC Throphy as well for Zimbabwe where you have to be a qualified player and got Zimbabwe to the World Cup in 92. You could argue the fact that he was one of main reasons they got Test status as they were producing players for Hick's quality.

Waugh played in a tour match as an overseas player for Ireland. It is completely different story. It would be like letting one of guys that played for Scotland as an overseas player in the Fourty40 play for Scotland, even though they weren't qualified to play an International match.

Two different things all together.
