So Gun! A team predicted to finish last in both competitions have won the FRC and are a chance of the Shield final.

Good to see some new bowlers coming through with the goods, and Hartley playing a mature hand also.

Great stuff Queensland!

Very close game, Queensland win by the skin of their teeth.

How they defended such a **** total beats me. Nevertheless, well done Queensland for winning with 10 players (you can't count Symonds, he has barely scored a run all season).

LOL! I'd say his 23 runs were quite important at the end of the day.

Congratulations to Queensland for winning the FRC final. A great effort from such an inexperienced side. Their bowlers have largely taken them to the final, and they have now won it on the back of their attack.

After having the game set up so well by the bowlers, and a brisk Quiney innings, Victoria should never have lost. Cameron White's innings must surely go down as the big turning point in the game. Very dissapointing from the captain.

On a positive note for the future of Australian cricket, many of the younger players had terrific games. McKay, Holland, Hartley, Batticciotto, Laughlin and Rimmington.

Stoked that QLD won, obviously, but even more so because it was Victoria the defeated in the final.

Rimmington and Laughlin have had amazing starts to there one day careers. Really impressed with Laughlin.

TBH blame White a fair bit for the loss. Running out Hussey was the killer blow.

Apart from Holland the rest are inexperienced not young. Grade veterans most of them.

McKay (26), Holland (21), Batticciotto (27), Laughlin (26), Rimmington (26) and Hartley (26).

If that is the future get ready for another set of 30-somethings to make the Australian debuts

Valid point. Does show the state of Australian domestic cricket when these are the younger players on display. But, better these guys performing than the guys who's possible international careers must surely be dissapearing (Hodge, Rogers, Carseldine).

Beautiful day at the cricket, only ruined by Victoria's insipid batting effort. Rogers was woeful and none of the others were much better. Finch and Crosthwaite are both pretty rubbish batsmen. How about Quiney though, was magnificent and head and shoulders above any batsman today. If we didn't run like spazzos between the wickets we might have won that, so many twos not taken and the Hussey run out was inexcusable. Great stuff from QLD though.

Reckon Nick Jewell should chuck a Rogers and move interstate to NSW. How the **** can't get a OD match ahead of the likes of Finch.
