Accurately. He really hasn't got the consistent drift and turn he got in the first innings though and his seam position definitely seems off. Just not coming out of the fingers right for him. How's Swann bowled today?

Yeah, I can't believe he's bowling this over. This is ridiculous, surely Fred should be a last resort.
Reckon he's probably had an injection or some other treatment at tea so this will probably be the last we see of Fred. This is ridiculous, surely Fred should be a last resort.
Yep, we've got four other front-line bowlers. Strauss should show them a bit more faith.Flintoff given his last throw of the dice. At his best, you'd expect him to snaffle Ramdin in no time, but this smacks of desperation to me.
If so, it's done **** all. He's in agony.Reckon he's probably had an injection or some other treatment at tea
Broad has been excellent and Anderson has bowled pretty well too. No idea why he is being used.Yep, we've got four other front-line bowlers. Strauss should show them a bit more faith.
Agreed, but its the only reason he would be bowling now I can imagine. If so, it's done **** all. He's in agony.
TBH, they are 5 lower order wickets, so we shouldn't struggle to knock over Powell, Edwards and Benn if we can get there. And I would defend the decision of Strauss, at that stage he had his two tall, hit-the-deck seamers injured (those who were anticipated to do the most damage) so you can't blame him for wanting to give them a bit of time.Five wickets is a huge ask in one session unless you have at least one truly world class bowler, which we don't. Those arguing that Strauss should have enforced the follow-on are looking spot on tbf.
Exactly my feelings, which I hid beneath a rather loud "HOWZAAAAAATTTTT..... YES!!!"Looked out live to me, but I really didn't think it'd be given.
It was my view at the time too - although Fred was never going to recover, Harmy might have benefited from a rest. As would the others. However, if WI survive the last howevermany overs, it'll have been the wrong call.TBH, they are 5 lower order wickets, so we shouldn't struggle to knock over Powell, Edwards and Benn if we can get there. Haha. We're probably just getting too used to the prank-umpire who resides at the other end.Exactly my feelings, which I hid beneath a rather loud "HOWZAAAAAATTTTT..... YES!!!"
So glad there is no one else in the house to hear me.
Absolutely loving the fact that this expression has caught on.Haha. We're probably just getting too used to the prank-umpire who resides at the other end.
I can understand why Strauss didn't enforce the follow-on. I didn't really agree with it, but given the fitness of Flintoff and Harmison, I can see the logic. It was my view at the time too - although Fred was never going to recover, Harmy might have benefited from a rest.
