Ive never been overly bothered about overrates.
It's perfectly possible to have good seam-bowling bowling 15 overs per hour. The only requistite is to cut-out needless fussing around and unneccessary delays. That has, with I think one exception, been done today. I've seen hundreds of days where most of the bowling has been done by spinners and seamers of unremarkable speed, and the over-rates have still been desultory.
Good to see the WI bowling the required overs, especially when the teams of Lloyd and Richards were subjected to so many complaints in the years gone by....
Cricinfo were running a story yesterday that the WICB were unwilling to ever go back to the SVR Sandpit, so it might not be out of the question.
Read that myself, but put the whole "never again" comment more down to a gut reaction than any rational decision. Comercially it seems very wasteful to build a ground, then demolish it.

Really? Heard him on the radio earlier and they asked him whether he thought WI might never go back there for test cricket and he was adamant that they would and it was just a question of the wrong people being in the wrong jobs.
If it was Bell he would have been castigated thats for sure. Should take the posatives but we will obviously have to wait a good while before we can tell if he is test class or not.
