Was a no-go when I talked to him about it a month or so ago. I will try again later in the season when I've proved this has got some longevity.
Disappointing, but understandable. I guess there arent really a lot of active people in here.

Shame. I was going to do a Tales from the Changing Rooms type thread. I don't want it to get in the way of the main event though. I guess it'll just have to wait.
By all means go ahead. :) Wouldn't get in the way of anything.

The match was not as close as I would like, but managed to qualify, which is a fantastic result for Korpinen, who may well be the worst player in CW?

Next time I meet Špidla I'll beat him for sure.

Disappointing about the forum, but it's to be expected when the majority that are created become inactive. Fond memories of Bugssy's..
Yeah, that was the gist of it. I'm not too fussed over it anyway. And yeah, Korpinen would be up there. There are some pretty bad records going around, though. Maxum has a record of 0-4, Quezada and Bruce have records of 0-6, and Juraev has a record of 1-8. The worst, though, his Renard who is 0-7.

Disappointing, but understandable. I guess there arent really a lot of active people in here.
Yeah out of the 29 we have, I'd say 17 are active. It's not too bad, but probably not worth a subforum just yet.

SBI, if I were to miss the Tournament before Rolan Garros (Is at Portshach iirc), any chance I could play 5 straight tournaments (French open, then 4 straight on grass including Wimbledon) from there? Or with the idea of keeping it realistic, is there a limit as to how many straight we can play?

Just trying to figure out the best way to play as many times on grass as possible.

Eh, I don't really set limits. You can play however many in a row as you reckon sounds right. Maybe take a rest in one of the grass tournaments; but it all depends how Delev goes.

Fair enough, 5 in a row sounds a bit much :p. I'll probs rest the one before Wimbledon, barring 2 straight first round exits prior to it.

Top seed József Boros has survived an early scare against Thailand's Atthaphol Sae-ul to claim a three-set victory in the first quarterfinal of the BMW Open. Boros struggled early against the eighth seed, before rallying to take a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory. He'll face third seed Li Wang in the first semifinal after Li also came from behind to defeat Fin Lari Färkkilä. Elsewhere, local hope Becker Haas took a convincing 6-2, 6-2 victory over compatriot Gunther Heug to advance to the second semifinal. He faces Jamaica's Oneil Stewart.

Seeds Out: 8-Atthaphol Sae-ul (THA).

An out-of-sorts Jason Hall has still managed to come from behind to book a place in the semifinals of the Estoril Open after thrashing unseeded Italian Massimo Prodi. The world number one dropped the first set in frustrating fashion, before storming back into the match to destroy the Italian 4-6, 6-1, 6-0. He faces fourth seed Juan Moreno after the Argentine took a straight sets win over Cypriot Takis Georgilas. But in the upset of the round, second seed Darcy Cowan was defeated in three sets by Argentina's Paolo Mandonna in the fourth quarterfinal. The world number five played poorly against a determined Mandonna; the Argentine's 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 win setting up a semifinal clash with local third seed Tiago Matias.

Seeds Out: 2-Darcy Cowan (USA).

Jojo Mustard has suffered a heartbreaking defeat in the quarterfinals of the Serbia Open after a straight sets loss to world number four Radek Špidla. The CWLander came into the quarterfinal matchup as underdog despite the poor clay record of Špidla, but got the better of his opponent early as he went ahead 2-0. But Špidla continued to defy his critics by storming back into the contest with a late charge to level the first set and send it to a tiebreaker. After the second seed prevailed in a tight tiebreaker following an errant forehand from Mustard, he would start the second off confidently by holding service to love. But as the second set went on service for the most part, Mustard was the first to falter as he dropped service late to cost himself the match. The straight sets scoreline paid a disservice to the seventh seed who, for the most part, held his own against higher ranked opposition. Špidla's 7-6(6), 7-5 victory sets up a mouth-watering semifinal showdown with third seed Miroslav Brdar; the Croatian disappointing the local crowd by ousting volatile fifth seed Danijel Micic.

The other semifinal will be between world number three Radivoj Daneu and eighth seeded Swiss player Pascaul Schmidt. Despite dropping his first set of the tournament, Daneu proved too good for lumbering Croat Nilikar Midid to advance to the semifinals and move closer to returning to his position as world number two.

Seeds Out: 5-Danijel Micic (SRB); 6-Nilikar Midid (CRO); 7-Jojo Mustard (CWL).

Exciting Jamaican Oneil Stewart has booked a spot in the biggest match of his career following an upset 6-4, 6-4 victory over fourth seed Becker Haas in the second semifinal of the BMW Open. In front of a packed home crowd, Haas was stunned by the athleticism of the 6'4" Jamaican who, even on the slower clay courts, seemed to be able to smash winners at whim. The athletic world number 57 will break into the top fifty regardless of the result of the final, but could cause top seed József Boros some real trouble after a breathtaking display. Boros, however, also hit his straps with a dominant 6-1, 6-3 victory over third seed Li Wang to head into the final as overwhelming favourite. After a less than impressive quarterfinal effort, Boros came out with a purposeful approach and overwhelmed the world number twenty en route to a straight sets thumping.

Seeds Out: 3-Li Wang (CHN); 4-Becker Haas (GER).

Jason Hall will look to take his first clay court title this Sunday after he cruised past Argentina's Juan Moreno in the first semifinal of the Estoril Open. Hall came out of the starting blocks with a bang, and after breaking Moreno early never looked back as he took the first set 6-1. Whilst the fourth seed put up a much better showing in the second set, the world number one looked too good as he booked a place in the final in just over an hour and a half. It was a bad day for the Argentinian contingent after Paolo Mandonna also fell in the semis. Local hero Tiago Matias produced a stunning first set to bagel his unseeded opponent, before being caught somewhat off-guard by his little known opponent. Mandonna took the second set and threatened a boilover by edging ahead 2-0 in the decider, before Matias broke back to ensure the match would be decided in a tiebreaker. It was there that the Portuguese third seed prevailed - setting up an appetising finals showdown with Hall 6-0, 3-6, 7-6(1).

Seeds Out: 4-Juan Moreno (ARG).

Radivoj Daneu and Miroslav Brdar will meet on Sunday in a dream Serbia Open final after their respective semifinal victories. Although second seed Radek Špidla has improved on clay as the season has progressed, he didn't look the part against the ever-consistent Croatian Brdar. Brdar, who has appeared in just one career final, continued his glorious form, and after dropping just one set all tournament, will enter the final a real chance of knocking off the top seed. Whilst Brdar's comprehensive 6-3, 6-4 victory will fill him with great confidence for the final, top seed Daneu continues to stutter on his way to a finals showdown. The two-time ATP Masters Series event winner dropped the first set against eighth seed Pascal Schmidt in a tiebreaker, before turning the match on its head to seal what would eventually be a comfortable victory 6-7(6), 6-1, 6-2.

Seeds Out: 2-Radek Špidla (CZE); 8-Pascal Schmidt (SUI).

József Boros has finally ended his poor finals record by claiming his first career crown with a come-from-behind win against Jamaican enigma Oneil Stewart in the final of the BMW Open. A brave Stewart put up an exciting performance against the top seed, but Boros looked intent on making his fourth trip to a final this season a successful one. After dropping the first set to the athletic Jamaican, the Hungarian powered back into the match by grinding out the second set. It seemed fitting that the match went to a third set tiebreaker, but it was there that Stewart's taxing style finally took its toll as Boros sealed a dramatic 3-6, 6-2, 7-6(1) victory.

Seeds Out: None.

World number one Jason Hall has claimed his first title on clay with a straight sets thumping of local Tiago Matias. Despite the second set going to a tiebreaker, Hall never really looked in trouble after breaking his Portuguese opponent's serve early in the first. Whilst Matias clung on for dear life in the second (including a massive nineteen minute service game), he fell well behind in the tiebreaker to concede five match points. Whilst he saved two, it wasn't enough to rob the American of his first clay crowd - Hall running away a 6-3, 7-6(4) victor.

Seeds Out: 3-Tiago Matias (POR).

Radivoj Daneu has celebrated a title win on home soil, and a return to the world number two position with a three-set victory over world number ten Miroslav Brdar. The Serb delighted the crowd in the Serbia Open final as he romped past the Croat in the first set six games to two. But the Zagreb champion, Brdar, wasn't going to roll over and die as he got a cruicial break of service early in the second set. The break gave him the edge he needed to level the game at a set a piece, but the humble Serbian took the break between sets to rally himself - and the crowd - up. The shift in momentum worked for the top seed as he took two massive breaks of service from Brdar; breaks of service which proved too big an obstacle for Brdar to overcome as Daneu sealed a momentous victory 6-2, 4-6, 6-2.

Seeds Out: 3-Miroslav Brdar (CRO).

All three top seeds winning. How anti-climactic :(

Still unsure on the rankings points for the Tretorn Serie+. 75 seems about right, but the actual series offers 110 points for the winner which sounds a bit steep. Open to suggestions.

Do career wins/losses count if you play at Lugano? If so Bowenburg to play the Challenger, actually I'll play their regardless.
