i always liked broad-he will be england's future imo.Broad says he is interested in IPL
Stuart Broad, the England fast bowler, has said he would like to feature in the IPL sometime despite skipping this year's tournament because of a hectic international schedule and fitness concerns.
"There's no doubt that I would like to be involved in the IPL at some stage in my career but at this moment in time I want those three weeks [after the West Indies tour] to rest my body and mind before the summer that includes the World Twenty20 and the Ashes series," said Broad.
"I just feel that at this stage of my career as a 22-year-old, having quite a busy winter with four Tests and five ODIs in the West Indies, I was just going to use that three-week window as a break leading up to what is going to be a massive summer."

Hopefully he continues his good ODI form and improves on his test record to earn a contract next year.
Obv Watson. How's this for a team for Rajasthan?
Asnodkar
Yusuf Pathan
Kaif
Jadeja
Watson/Henderson/Mascarenhas (o)

Niraj Patel +
Warne (o)
Sid Trivedi
Munaf Patel
Tait/Morne Morkel (o)
I quite like the look of that. I'm not sure who'd open with Asnodkar, perhaps Watson/Langer. I'm assuming Smith is injured.
Well yeah, if fit, maybe Watson. Though I think he's better at 3/4 if possible, so you could leave him where he is to maximise his contribution. Kaif would be interesting with the big hitters around him he could provide some stability. Kind of the way Smith played last season.Obv Watson.
Mascrenhas could get the nod ahead of Henderson.
Kaif was a big dud last time. Hopefully he does something better. The best factor is these players are only getting better for the Royals.Well yeah, if fit, maybe Watson. You reckon? I thought he kept his head together well in some tight situations. Also, a really good fielder.Kaif was a big dud last time. Hopefully he does something better. The best factor is these players are only getting better for the Royals.
Pretty surprised he's saying he's going to make KP captain. Weird when he's not going to be there the whole time. I'm not sure someone like Dravid is going to like being KP's fill-in after he's gone home.Bangalore side looks amazing tbh.
Can't see Mascarenhas getting in ahead of Henderson.Obv Watson.

Will Henderson say goodbye to county cricket to play the entire IPL? Surely he is earning seasons worth of county money with a single IPL season right? And perhaps he can still play as T20 expert for his county team? Can't see Mascarenhas getting in ahead of Henderson.
They were obviously keen on Henderson and he's a better batsman and bowler than Dimitri. He can also open the batting.
You can have Tait, Morne, Warne and possibly Langer as their overseas base for the match. Then place Niraj Patel in the middle order. Niraj is not a wicketkeeper- they have Mahesh Rawat for the same. The bowling attack can be Tait, Morne, Trivedi, Warne, Yusuf and Jadeja. There may be issues with Langer opening in a T20, but he can build a large innings and also hit a few big ones. How's this for a team for Rajasthan?

How about this XI?Bangalore side looks amazing tbh.
There really is a surplus of amazing overseas talent. Mascaranas has been doing extraordinarily well in New Zealand domestic cricket (including T20), Watson was superb in the IPL 2008 and I'm sure he'll be valuable even without the ball (not expected to recover in time to bowl for the IPL 2009), Tyron Henderson is one of the world's best specialists, Tait has infinite T20 potential and Morkel has ever so slightly less. As for the Indians, Jadeja is now a competant batting and bowling option from the untapped talent that Warne took on board, Munaf has come along leaps and bounds, Trivedi had a top domestic season (albeit in 4 day cricket only, so far), Yusuf is brilliant, Kaif is Kaif and Asnodkar had a good 2008 IPL.How's this for a team for Rajasthan?

I'd be far more forgiving of Uthappa if he could grow up a bit and stop mouthing off all the time for no reason. All cricketers make mistakes but not all of them run their gobs relentlessly any time they have a mic up in their face. With your irrational hate for Uthappa, I'm rather surprised to see him in the XI. Would want to open with Ryder tbh rather than Goswami.
Bingo, was a problem for them last season too. Maybe Mallya should devote some of his resources into scouting or recruiting some of the better Indian players instead of making hilarious trades like Zaheer for Uthappa. How about this XI?When Pietersen and Steyn depart, Shakib and possibly Bracken may step in. The real problem is lack of adequate local players to fill in. They have some top batsmen in their overseas roster, but they'll lose a lot of them to international duty.
