The Adelaide pitch is far from a bowlers paradise, though given the fact that the kiwis were tied down by some tight bowling from the opening bowlers, that pressure should have let to the fall of a wicket or two, but credit too Guptill and McCullum here, they have played it pretty well here, by not throwing it away.

I think he's talking about the areas they've bowled more than anything. Playing in Adelaide doesn't bowl long hops for you.

Yeah something that i have not been very happy with, swinging the ball is his genuine strength, i think he is under pressure to save his spot in the side, and that's probably the reason he is thinking more on lines of containment, but that's certainly not the right way to go for him.
