*Official* England in West Indies

I am giving them credit. I am not an England supporter. And it is not simply down to the brilliant bowling in this innings, the entire English performance has been dismal and the team itself has been dismal for a considerable time. This should be a wake-up call for English cricket.
Word out..

Yes England collapsed in the second innings via Lee's spell & Flintoff batting brought them back into the game & allowed them to set up that victory target. Without his batting effort his later bowling heroics, wouldn't have made much a difference.

edit: well it aint gonna come to pass anyway now...

I see where you're coming from but it is very much a different situation. In 2005, England already had a lead of nearly 200 when we were 7 wickets down. In 1981, we were still loads behind, and pretty much already lost the game. Flintoff will need to put on a damn site more than 80 (as he did in 05) if England are to set a target in this game.

Good heavens! What is going on with England?

Was it great bowling from the WI (Taylor and Benn in particular) or just awful batting from the English?

Actually, the clean out that this may bring is probably the best thing for England come the Ashes. This horrible batting line up has been given a free ride for about 3 years now and something like this is necessary to bring to light what's been largely ignored.
Agreed. And the bowling, which allowed WI to get close to 400 on the same pitch.
If that means one or two guys are scapegoated pour encourager les autres, then so be it. Very few of this lot deserve their places, so there's no injustice in that.

Fred gone - so this will be an innings defeat after all. Probably no bad thing.

From the sounds of the commentators it was good bowling, although I reckon the Sidebottom lbw was probably drifting down leg live.
