I'm not a fan of Benn, and I also think he's average, but he was our leading wicket-taker in the first innings....

That was my thinking, then use Sidebottom after a few overs. Would show some imagination, at least. As it is, I bet Sidebottom bowls the first over with it.

Almost certainly, although some might argue he can't be trusted to bowl more, or that he should only be used sparingly as the 'X-factor bowler'.
