Clarke's first loss as captain ITBT.
Australia bowled as reasonably as they can, despite Hilfenhaus who was crap. But it was really the pathetic batting effort towards the end that did them in, A total of 250 was surely gettable, and defendable too. Anyways, looking forward to Sydney match, and the sooner Australia comes out of this dire Warneria, the better.

Great win, can't believe we're 2-0 up!

Surely Cameron White is a better bowler than David Hussey?

Not giving our boys any credit there.

I think it was more good bowling than bad batting. NZ bowled really full and never gave the Aussies anything to really hit. As opposed to the Aussies at the death, who were too short, especially Hilfenhaus.

Yup, O'Brien, Mills and Southee all were spot on during the death overs.

Don't care who they have to recall from a break, or call up into the squad. If Australia wants to win, needs to get another fricking bowler in the team, and let the likes of Hopes & Mussey bat in their usual/preferred positions.

ussey is wasting too many starts, and Warner is clearly not up to the task after all the hype. I reckon Haddin might actually be able to show us what he's capable of with the bat @ 7 if he's not coming in at 5/120, or if he's not trying to finish off the innings whilst Hopes, who isn't a finisher, is struggling to rotate the strike, thus starving Haddin of any sort of momentum.

I think Elliott didn't deserve MOTM.

NZ played as a team to win this, the bowling (besides a few balls by Southee) was very good. The fielding sharp and the batting consistent. Everyone but Guptill scored more than 20 runs while Australia saw only Clarke and Mussey achieve this feat.

Clarke kept Australia from falling apart against good bowling in slightly difficult conditions. 3-63 to 225-5 is a good effort.

Elliott on the other hand batted on a solid platform set by McCullum Fulton and Taylor. And scored 35 of his runs against the combined might of White Dussey and Hilfenhaus. It was a good knock but we were still in a relatively winning position without it. So I can see why they gave it to Clarke.

No mates. NZ played bloody good cricket to keep Australia to that score on a flat track as this (evidenced by just 9 wickets lost in 99 overs). It's just that Clarke was **** batting so slow and thinking they could choke NZ into a pressure run chase that did them in.

O'Brilliant must be one of the best death bowlers going around with such performances. Only if Taylor came out of his throwing his wicket away just before it!

ICC - Ranking Predictor

Hooray! SA are No.1 in ICC rankings. India No.2!, Australia slips to No.3.

In fact, if NZ whitewashes Aussies this series, they'll jump to No.2, India No.3 and Australia No.4.

Just WOW!
