Yea, since WC is in the subcontinent, India would be the favorites (if it was played right now). Outside, SA would be the favorites.
Unless it was being played in England :)

Based on the last 6 months ....
India >>>> England >>> SA >> Aus

maybe.

Gah missed Zak's wicket. Was it a good ball or just Dilshan throwing everything at it?

Dilshan just had a massive slog, basically. It wasn't a bad ball by any stretch but it wasn't something you'd normally expect to take a wicket.

Here's something to think about. The fastest bowler by a long margin is Dilhara Fernando, but he's bowling loose, all over, over-stepping and somehow not too smart. On the other hand, you have Praveen Kumar or Zaheer Khan, who's bowling slow, but tight, moving the ball well, and also getting wickets, but good deliveries get hit for fours and sixes on flat wickets. What would you choose?

The Lankans are on top for now. So many balls are hit for fours and sixes. Where are those part-timers when you need them?

I think we've long since established that Glenn McGrath was better than Ian Butler and Mohammad Sami. The fact that Fernando is crap is not a startling revelation.

Zaheer and Praveen, because they're both obviously better bowlers than Fernando- more threatening, more economical.

But as a general rule i think it's good to have both types. Brett Lee and Glenn McGrath opening the bowling is ideal.

The bowlers who get to bowl with 363 runs in the bank. They're not comparable situations.

Not Terrible
Only in that they are expected to play similar roles. The quality of the two is obviously vastly different. Hell, I just compared Glenn McGrath to Praveen Kumar by your logic.
But Lee is an accurate quick who bowls faster than Fernando. Kumar gets less bounce, less movement and is less accurate than pigeon. Incomparable I say.

Is he bad because his quick? No, he's bad because he's ****.
