He's probably due to fire against us with the bat though, might outweigh whatever we manage off his bowling.

Please please please play White!
And let him bowl is full 10. :)
The match is at his home ground so I think they'll play him.

I'll be watching the domestic match tomorrow also at the MCG with interest to see what type of pitch it is.

The problem with the side I have named is that Hopes has a huge role opening and expected to bowl 10 overs. He's not that good to have the biggest workload of anyone.

Also if Voges plays he could very bowl before Cam White.

I think cricket fans the world over underestimate how disciplined our bowling is. We bowl as a unit and to plans and we whittle away.
Yeah, I agree. I cringe every time I pick up an Australian newspaper (or one of Ernest's posts) and read how crap the New Zealand bowling attack is. New Zealand in fact have quite a good attack, particularly in one day cricket.

I'd love us to win the next two games and then rest some players. I don't like teams resting players for games against us, and I want it to be us doing it to another team for once!

And it would be nice to see someone like Boult get a go. But maybe not Diamanti, if he did well we'd never get rid of him!

Yeah even our Test attack is solid. People just look over the attack don't see the names Steyn, McGrath or Bond and declare it crap.

Is Cumming going to come in for Elliott? If Sunday's game taught us anything, it's that we need as much batting as possible. Since Elliott didn't bowl, I think he should be dropped in favour of a in-form specialist batsman. Cumming is over there, is in great form, and has the ability to bat in different situations. Alternatively, Patel can be dropped for Cumming and Elliott has to bowl a fair few overs (perhaps Taylor and even Cumming himself could also bowl a few).

I reckon Williamson could have been quite handy on this tour tbh. We need a batsman who can bowl a few overs, and Williamson has proven that a) he can bat, and b) his off-spin is very very handy.

Without Ryder I don't think we can trust Cumming and Elliott to make up 10 overs TBH.

Reckon Taylor deserves a crack with the ball. From what i've seen of his bowling, I don't think it's too bad.

Cumming's wrong footed medium pacers arent too bad either. He often beats people with lack of pace. Mightn't be a bad surprise ploy in the middle overs for the Aussies to deal with, could just be the type of guy who chips out a couple of wickets because of the Aussies obvious lack of confidence at the moment.

Voges is a better OD bowler than White imo, atleast he knows where he wants to pitch the ball.

So how should our lineup look on Friday?

I think our lineup will be..

1 James Hopes
2 David Warner
3 Michael Clarke
4 Michael Hussey
5 David Hussey
6 Adam Voges
7 Cameron White
8 Brad Haddin
9 Mitchell Johnson
10 Nathan Bracken
11 Shaun Tait

12 Callum Ferguson
Won't have Hussey at 4 tbh, last two games he has been batting at 6 and instantly he has started to score runs, so he should bat six, and Voges should bat 4, where he usually bats for WA.

One more thing, with Hopes opening the batting, i think it opens an avenue to bring in an extra bowler, and i don't think it would be a horrible decision to play an extra bowler instead of White, though i doubt given the current batting woes they would do it.

Just saying that without Ryder its a bit of a risk especially considering this is a successful attack and team. Sure the batting didn't fire but that is not to say it can't or won't.
