Interesting contrast between Manthorp's smart-arsery on the blog and his politeness and (obviously false) courtesy toawrds both teams in the series when commentating on the ABC.

If there's a drama, just let Tait get tested. If he fails it, who gives a rat's? If he doesn't, end of problem.

D Hussey needs to stop worrying about this supposed psychological ascendancy crap and start concentrating on his supposed batting, imo.

TBH with the amount of bowlers on the fringes of poor action, who get tested, get cleared, then get reported again. I'm not sure how confident you can still be with testing system, as base for whether someone throws or not. No doubt there no better way. But it is getting to a stage of "meh he got cleared, so what"

FTR Tait been tested unofficially before and being cleared. Would another test prove anything for or against, even if it was official.

Totally agree

The whole chucking thing leaves me totally cold

It's a case of "move on, nothing to see here anymore because no-one really gives a toss"

Excellent post mate. Yourselves and UC should run for Modship, if that was possible.

As has already been said Tait has already had his action cleared, and when questions regarding his actions were raised last time he had this to say about it.

Totally agreed .Tests are proving meaningless.Chucking is a habit IMO. However ICC should do something because no batsmen should be killed by illegal action .

Let's not get carried away

The quickest bowler in history was almost undoubtedy Jeff Thomson, he hit more than anyoneone and his action has virtually NEVER disputed

If you get hit, it's your own fault

I never said Thommo was chucking .

But things have reached at a certain stage that batsmen get no sympathy when he gets hit by a illegal delivery (not beamer ), a bouncer by chucking which can be dangerous .

There is a limit a bowler with legal action can harm a batsman, but not the case with chucking, it is unlimited and confusing .

Yes, that'd be a great idea - Chaminda, a poster who has been warned several times for baiting NZers, would make a superb moderator. 8-)
Lol, is it? Must have been before I started posting here.

Anyway, that should definitely make him worthy imho.

Botha has also been cleared and he is fair game.
Yeah that's what i am coming at, once a bowler has been cleared by the ICC bio-mechanic testing team, then that should pretty much be the end of the matter, and the bloke should be free to play.

If some on-field umpire finds his action to be dubious again, he should be reported and should get his action tested again, but still if doubts over a bowler's action remains after these tests, then what's the whole point of having them there?

I don't think anyone should be labelled as a chucker until and unless proven so, a bowler's action might"look" terrible, but that doesn't necessarily means he chucks.
