Extremely sorry for the long delay.
As the thread changed focus and started drifting i forgot about giving the answer to my unsolved question-

What connects Javed Miandad,Sunil Gavaskar,Bruce Edgar?

The answer to this question was that these three are the only three players in the history of international cricket too-

Have faced more than 160 balls individually and too have scored less than 100 runs while remaining not out in a single ODI innings.

 Talk about extremely slow and selfish batting.
did all three lost their match .other wise i wont say its selfish...gavaskar lost i know

I'll have one last go at reviving interest in this thread :-

I played in one test match for which I was selected as a pace bowler. My side lost the match which went the full distance, all 40 wickets falling. Unfortunately I took none of those wickets and contributed no runs in either innings. I do however have a more memorable achievement from my first class career but that is a batting achievement. Who am I and what is the batting achievement?

I will not guess as Ive done some looking around and Ive hit a likely candidate. Appears an interesting story I can honestly say I knew nothing about.

Hopefully you still remember the answer Fred, is it Len Tuckett?

Played in only one test, scored no runs (0 and 0*) and was a pace bowler who picked up no wickets in that test (overall figures of 0/69). All 40 wickets fell in the match.

Tuckett's batting achievement was that he shared three figure partnerships for the last wicket in each innings of a South African first class match.

Perfect reply - I reckon you've been practising!

In the late 1990s, together we achieved a feat for the first (and as far as I can tell, only) time. Who are we and what was our achievement?

Is it to do with Test cricket?
Were the 2 players playing in the same team?
Are the 2 players related to each other?
