No fixing this is a shockingly poor Pakistan side which is short of match practice aswell.

my solution for guys like afridi, akmal, shoaib akhter and tanvir is

give them two test matches against Sri Lanka.. just to tell thier fans that we give them enough chancess.. if they proved themselve and played good.. keep them if not drop them..drop them forever.. no mater how good they perform in domastic cricket..

same goes with shoaib malik's captaincy..

Give them control of the nukes? Hmm. Once they screw it up and nuke Maldives for fun (and miss), people are bound to hold them responsible for something. I like it.

People don't fix the results of games anyway. It's done with bets such as how many wides in the 22nd over, rather than "SL to win". Much more value in it that way anyways, and less variables for the fixers to control.

Not necessarily, match-fixing scandals in cricket tend to involve dodgy bookmakers, who pay to have a match fixed when they stand to lose millions of pounds from a certain result.

Can't see bookies having a problem with people putting money on Pakistan to win though.

Haha, fair call. They were favourites for all three matches incidentally, so it seems a lot of people did just that.

I just meant in general though.

Yeah I know but just pointing out how this was a particularly unlikely case of match fixing. :p

But for bookies to win $, they need a lot of people to place bets, and for large money as well. Who really is going to bet large on how many runs are going to be scored in x over?

a) These are the sort of bets going on in the ICL as we speak.
b) It's the exact sort of bet that the ICC have come across in their main corruption investigations, and that players are informed about when lectured to before playing international competition.

Immature post coming up, sorry.

I KNOW. I just can't believe he said that. Along with the incessant butt-slapping of the opposition...Younis Khan might be batting for the other side, one feels.
