He wasn't in an audience with the Queen of England. Lighten up, people. If Hayden found this offensive, we'd be reading reports of a rastafarian lookalike found passed out on a boat with peanuts stuffed up his ass by now.
Hayden is allergic to peanuts. Esp peanuts roasted in a rastafarian look alike's bum.

Hmm...So the day before a grade match where he was proving he is fit he gets pissed off his face, and gets on the radio and says more things that can damage his career futher (if that's possible).

Then he goes out and makes a 7 in his grade match. I hope this hack never plays for Australia again.

Wasn't Hayden on the same prog when he called Harbhajan a wanker (or weed or whatever it was)? Didn't stop the media then and won't now.

I do think that public appearances whilst endrunkenated by renowned piss artists are perhaps a bit ill-judged tho.

Don't think so and also looks like the comments aren't picking up traction.

This post is bought to you courtesy of the Australian cultural stereotypes board: "Cork hats & vegemite sangers for all".

But let's face it Brumby, they're all third-generation Poms and Paddies. We can safely assume most of them haven't contracted the horrid disease that is Temperance on the way there.

Love a vegemite sandwich tbh.

Don't think the "it's a comedy radio show, we were just mucking around" line is going to work. Roy and H.G. were giving him rope, but they weren't laughing at what he said or encouraging him - they were asking pretty straight forward questions. And Symonds was obviously drunk. And they weren't funny remarks. And this isn't the first time he's embarrassed himself and caused CA headaches because he's failed to make a sensible decision re: when and how much to drink.

I think it's a bit sad really. Symonds was obviously very ill-prepared for the level of wealth and celebrity he very quickly attained. This has combined with a problem with alcohol to derail his life now on a variety of settings, and he's clearly some distance from actually getting his act together. If CA chose to keep on pushing the line that "normality is the best thing for him to help him manage this", then they're ignoring the record that shows that Symonds has regularly failed to manage that 'normality'. They'd also be putting avoiding making a hard call on a staff welfare issue over the welfare of their entire employee group and business objectives...
