I'm serious, Botha looks like some sort of Hollywood villain.

I just don't know which movie I recognise him from.

That, or Nathan Brown from the Bulldogs, wtvr.
Could imagine him saying Achtung in some of those old movies when you see him directing the field. but I feel sorry for him in a way because it's not an easy task he's charged with.

SA should always cherish those test victories but the Saffers I know hate losing and aren't happy with their ODI team atm. And they were pissed off with the way the English tour turned sour.

I'd be using both him and Boucher in the middle order, then Botha at 8 and three quicks - ie. one more bowler than this team currently has.
Ditch Boucher give AB the gloves would sure make things easier and with JP coming on, AB could move down to five so there would be less pressure on him.

Ah yes, forgot about Vaughn Van Vindaloo-too-many, definitely excess weight in this side. (OK, I'll stop. That jumper is a tad unflattering though).

Steyn

Yeah, has a better balance about it. Note that the top order is probably a bit out of whack, was just wanting to type out a side of how it might look.

I can see where people were coming from in the second T20 about Botha's action.
Well it's not any worse than it has been since his return, and I don't think it looks any worse from a naked-eye perspective that say, Murali's, not that said perspective means much. He's already been reported once and changed his action a bit to reduce the kink so it's probably within the laws now.

Sound like right dumb ****s.

I hear some people want this to happen in tests but it might be a bit premature. Surely it would give them more options in ODIs in terms of playing an extra batsman or bowler.

Admittedly could see what he was trying to do, (on the premise that mid off was up) but the shot was poorly executed. Really did struggle all innings though, didn't he? Both Kallis and Albie did a good job taking the pace off to the new batsman.

Don't mind Clarke getting out at the point he got out, was clearly stuck in the test mode and was really starting to suck out the momentum form the innings, with so many batsmen in the ranks, anything less than 270 should be considered a pretty disappointing effort from Australia.

Clarke was playing like he did in the test series; he was just unlucky he wasn’t dropped countless times or have the benefit of millions of overs to finally hit the ball of the square.

Haha. I noticed that too. Used to be G&M.
Hasn't had a GM for a while. During the Big Bash, used a blank face, a County, a Bradbury and now has the Gray Nics. Assuming that the County was probably White's; gets some of (if not) the best sticks in Victoria.

Also, this will be interesting watching Hussey face Duminy. One of the best players of part time spin, has the ability to just destroy it.

I bet Hussey is actually one of those pricks who turns up to every game asking whether he can use someone's spare bat, claiming he just 'forgot' his bat when he's really too stingy to buy one.

Grinds my gears.
