No way. Happy to be proven wrong but I've never seen her play as ****ty as she has in the last few weeks.
Dead set, willing to rule Williams out this early? There's no other player in tennis I can think of that can be so switched off, and then turn it back on and get interested again, and then dominate.

Dementieva is really poor at holding her serve, and despite Williams playing like ****, most of the time she was being broken. Same with against Radwanska, continuously broken, was just lucky that the opponent was **** enough to keep being broken as well.

Safina should win today against Dementieva, despite what the bookies say. Other than Safina, I reckon Venus (as always) and Ivanovic is the other real chance. Jankovic still yet to win a slam (yet ranked no. 1), so not sure how she'd go come the business end of the tournament.

Actually, not sure it can happen, think they're both on the same side of the draw.

Stosur/Dellacqua v Dokic it is!!!

These are the pick of the first round matches for mine
Guillermo Canas vs Nicolas Kiefer
Lleyton Hewitt vs Fernando Gonzalez
Juan Monaco vs Jo Wilfred Tsonga
Paul Henri Mathieu vs Jarkko Nieminen

Tsonga to go out to Monaco first round imo.

Apparently Tomics father has been arrested over something to do with the Aust open. Male version of the Dokic saga anyone? Even have similar names.

Absolutely killer little section with Hewitt-Gonzalez AND Kiefer-Canas in it. Hoping Hewitt can pull through, but I have my worries.

Nalbandian spaaaaaaaanking Gasquet atm.

He's in ripping form, and when he plays like this I reckon he's easily one of the top 5-7 players in the world. Wish he did this more often, he's so awesome.

Credit to Lleyton to challenge him as much as he did actually.

Btw, anyone see Gasquet's through-the-legs winner? Was amazing.

If he makes it that far, he'll actually meet Nadal in the 4th round, I think.
Naa Haas will beat Nadal in the third round.
Had a massive feeling Tommy would draw Rafa in his section although I think I said a few weeks ago he'd beat him second round.

Djokovic had another chance to go 2nd in the world if he simply won his match, (his 3rd opportunity I think).

He keeps losing. Once it was to Rafa so that's fair enough, but he's now lost to Gulbis and Niemenen when he needed to win to overtake Roger.

Come on Novak, piss poor.

See above. He's lost to Gulbis (a talent who does super matches once every eight weeks admittedly) and Nieminen (who basically never beats anyone good) recently.

Would rather get on Del Potro at 25/1.
Fair enough. Just surprised to see a reigning champ who's ranked so high at such (relatively) long odds. Might invest a cheeky fiver.

Did Djockovic lose again and blame everything else other than his own poor form?
"My forehand didn't really work today, and you could see in all the important moments, he served to my forehand and I couldn't put the ball in," Djokovic said "Just a bad day."
