He doesn't mate; there's a World Cup coming up.
Hodge for one would be better - check him out in the KFC Bloody Big Bash.Name an Australian middle-order player with a better T20 record than the Huss.
Brad Hodge for one. Lee Carseldine, has been in great form. Harris from S.A. could probably do a better job, along with Klinger.Name an Australian middle-order player with a better T20 record than the Huss.

Lets make Warner test and ODI captain and find outWho's better? Ponting or Warner?
Ernest wouldn't mind.Lets make Warner test and ODI captain and find out
Yeah good thinking Alan. Warner obviously deserves a run in the test side after this knock, and let's make him captain to see just what exactly he is made of.Lets make Warner test and ODI captain and find out
Thing is that with more games and practice then more will master the art, how are they supposed to do that if they arent playing it to being with?In this form of the game, I'm really warming towards loading the team with batsmen, especially guys like David Hussey who can tonk, work the ball around and also bowl awkward little darts. For mine, there are so few Nathan Brackens - quicks who can make a real difference with their bowling. Therefore, I'd be very reluctant to pick too many specialist bowlers, as I feel not too many have mastered the T20 art. Most, like part time bowlers, will go the journey anyway.
Batsmen, batsmen who can bowl a bit and tonkers for mine (and the odd exception for a guy like Bracks).

Sooo basically like the Australian team last night? Think they had the makeup of the team almost spot on (Apart from possibly having to man top order players batting in the middle/lower order). 3 specialist bowlers, an all-rounder, and a few blokes who can bowl a bit to make up the rest of the overs.In this form of the game, I'm really warming towards loading the team with batsmen, especially guys like David Hussey who can tonk, work the ball around and also bowl awkward little darts. Naa I think there are times when you are going to need bowlers, Tait is perfect for T20 as hes going to get wickets and as we have seen taking wickets is the best way to slow the run rate. If we have a team full of part timers if batsmen start getting on to them theres no one to stop the onslaught.Yes. I think there are very few bowlers who will go for less than a guy like David Hussey. Therefore, best to have a David Hussey (who can also tonk) than a Shaun Tait (who can't tonk or bat). On the other hand, Nathan Bracken would be in any T20 side of mine, as he is one of those very few specialist bowlers (who can't really bat) who I feel can make more of an impact than a DHussey type of bowler.
It's definitely a batsman-orientated game.
I was actually thinking the other day, imagine if a match was worked out;
Batsman (some of which can bowl a bit) Vs (Bowlers some of which can bat a bit)
The sides would be like;
Side A:
Warner
Ponting
Hussey
Hussey
Clarke
White
Some other similar guys
Side B:
Lee
Johnson
Siddle
Krejza
Some other similar guys.
I am guessing that side B would get massacred big-time.
