***Official West Indies in New Zealand***

Athlai

Not Terrible
And the 5th falls!

48 needed with 33 balls remaining.

Sarwan the key.

To my knowledge Ramdin, Taylor and co. are not particularly great sloggers in the Mills/Southee mould though are batsman who can play nice boundaries.

Bout time Ramdin got his finger out of his ass and did something with the bat. Good win by the Windies.

Good game for what it was. A 28 over play around. Good play from West Indies and they really deserved the win from their bowling performance and Sarwans composure. I still think NZ will have the upper hand without confused batting roles and with the full 50 overs.

Full credit to WI, deserved the win. Sarwan's knock was the best ODI innings I've seen in a couple of years, superb.

I believe we'll come back though, remember we've only lost two of our last 14 home ODI series, both to Australia. But WI are proving a far more formidable opponent than their ranking suggests, and they deserve all the praise they get for this win.

Jeets is normally very good at the death, I think he had trouble gripping the wet ball there. And, to be fair, Sarwan and Ramdin played him brilliantly.

Missed the game, anyone know why Elliot never bowled?
I was wondering that myself. Thought he would have been very useful on this pitch.

He batted brilliantly, again. Really useful ODI player that bloke.

Poor batting from our boys though i will so getting only 4 extra runs under the dl method meant the playing field wasnt exactly even. I'll be going to the 3rd odi so here's hoping for some good weather

Aye, you have to give credit to the West Indies, they didn't give up and they deserved the win. Vettori stuffed up there to an extent though, would have bowled Oram for mine because he would have had a lot better control (less chance of the ball slipping out of his hand) and two run out chances in the last over. Still the WI probably would of got the money in the final over anyway. Jerome Taylor can hit the ball a country mile, or at least got a single for Sarwan.
