Yea hind sight is quite nice isnt it. Yet if you look at the first 2 matches getting the SaF batsmen out is also seemingly beyond these bowlers so the selectors chose wisely for mine.

No hindsight on my part. If you click on my profile & see my comments in this thread you would see i called for 4-seamers, either Hodge/D Hussey to be picked & questioned the legitimacy of McDonald playing.

It was the right call, you don't bowl first on a good pitch just because it's overcast and will swing for a bit. Wasn't a gimme toss though, Australia had to bat well.

Plenty of delays at the start of the day. Sight screen problems, bowlers and batsman pulling out/away, among other things.

The latter, although Ponting was caught on the move and got an inside edge. One of those that usually that a batsman would play on or run away for four and the bowler muttering 'GAGF'.
