What a horrible day that was for Australia, any chances of an Aussie win are all but over now, a draw or a Saffie win are the only two possible results now, and Australia have only themselves to blame for this.

Surprised to see that Ntini's got 76 wickets since I watched him last almost two years ago when we were in RSA, at a SR of 50 no less. Also surprised he doesn't feature in many lineups of the year 2008 as he's one of the more consistent fast bowlers of the year.

Yeah some bad fielding from the aussies for a change.

God. That was a shocking day of test cricket, both Ponting and Hussey should hang their heads, terrible efforts for catches. Thought Hauritz bowled well, and Siddle came back well in the last session. Going to be a very interesting day of cricket tomorrow.

So what changes does everyone feel are needed for the SCG Test?

I'm thinking Watson and Bollinger in for Symonds and Lee.

The extra bowling of Watson should prove crucial in deciding between he and Symonds.

Home state boy Doug Bollinger or Hilfenhaus [selected in squad for second Test] must play in front of Lee.

Possibly the only changes at this stage, however, a big innings from Symonds or some wickets in the 2nd innings is all that is needed from him to retain his spot. Bollinger should definitely come in.

Apart from the dropped catches, what else do you think they did wrong? Just wondering what more they could have done (aside from picking an all rounder who is fit enough to bowl propoerly).

No chance of Lee being there if he's got a stress fracture developing in his foot. Clarke said post-play today he couldn't even run this morning.

Symonds and Lee have to go, and Watson and Hilfenhaus should come in for them, but considering they didn't drop Symonds for this test, therefore can't see him being dropped for the SCG test either, the only change that might take place is Hilfenhaus coming in for Lee, but then the Aussie selectors with the kind of form they have been in might just surprise everyone by picking Bollinger out of the blue (literally).

Personally don't see us getting Bollinger or Hilfenhaus in especially to the fact that we always play 2 spinners in the SCG match. So esentially apart from Hauritz, who is the other ideal one??

The two spinners? Clarke and Katich. Next question ;)

In come Bollinger and Hilfenhaus.

Playing two spinners in the third Test would be the stupidest thing the selectors have done since playing Cameron White ahead of Stuart Clark in the last Test in India. And it'd be pretty damn close to even that.

Sydney's a little bit more spin-condusive than other places sometimes, but it's hardly a square turner. It gives you the opportunity to play two spinners if you have two quality spinners who are both amongst your four best bowlers, but Australia doesn't even have one at the moment.
