***Official West Indies in New Zealand***

Mills made it to fifth in the world by consistently keeping the runs down most of the time and taking occasional wickets. He is a great back-up bowler in ODIs (just don't let him bowl much at the death). Sure he is pretty ineffective in test matches but his style suits ODI style as he has proven with an average of 26.01 which is pretty handy.

Just out of interest, is it only me who thinks there is a little something suspect about Kyle Mills' action? I'm not saying 'he'z a chuckerz, nonez of hiz wicketz countz" but that there is a defo kink there somewhere.

Wow!!

That is very silly.
Rudi gives a bad decision, and Benson doesn't have enough evidence to overturn, even though it didn't look like he hit it at all.

Anybody feel Rudi gave it because the Windies had no more referrals and knew NZ would refer it?
What a joke. Referral system useless for mine. The one dismissal it would be most useful for an incorrect decision is upheld. Bizarre.
Watched it at the pub (hey, it's Christmas week, who cares if we were already 5 beers down by that stage). That is comfortably the worst advertisement you'll ever find for the referral system. All angles shown proved that McCullum didn't hit the ball - the only one that may have even concerned Benson is the ultra-slow-mo close up shot from behind, but that was being played so slowly you couldn't even pick up a deviation.

And, of course, once the decision had been made, Snicko was as flat as a dead man's pulse.

Can we just put an end to discrimination against New Zealanders now please?
All we are saying, is give Keewees a chance.

Yea, everyone knows that. He chucks it. People just choose to ignore it for some reason.

After watching a lot of Test cricket in the past few days there is one very satisfying thing I can take away from the series.

NZ and WI combined commentary team >>> Australia's commentary team

This whole sour affair blows chunks in my opinion.. Spent five days watching a test match, and then the key man gets sawn off at a key time by technology and the incompetence of two individuals.. I actually think Rudi Koertzen owes me an entire week of my life back.. When he returns to SA I'm going to hound him at the airport and make disparaging remarks about his person..

NZ will thank you and make you an honourary citizen. Which means you have to wear stubbies, say bugger fairly often and drink terrible piss.

I'll have you know that Mac's Great White is a superb beverage.

The less said about some of the others the better however.

Yeah I'd dig NZ citizenship, that means I'd be a Tri-Citizen and could bugger off there when SA turns out like Zimbabwe.. I don't think much of your women, but when you live in the same country as Jeremy Coney, who needs anything other than cricket?

Combined XI after the Test series

Gayle (WI)
McIntosh (NZ)
Flynn (NZ)
Chanderpaul (WI)
Ryder (NZ)
Nash (WI)
McCullum (NZ)
Vettori (NZ)
Patel (NZ) (Taylor if you aren't Athlai)
O'Brien (NZ)
Edwards (WI)

Expect the same West Indians to have a good one day series but 3 batsman and 2 bowlers aren't enough to produce solid performances. Bravo in makes 4 batsman and half a bowler, with Gayle completing another half. All West Indies need now is 2 more bowlers a better keeper, an extra opener and for Marshall to find his feet at this level.

Reckon if they do so they'll be challenging every team in years to come.

NZ also has a similar prospect, with Taylor, Ryder and Flynn in the middle order and all with impressive results thus far in their careers we have potentially a big future in front of us. The opening debacle remains yet with Guptill to come this problem may be solved in the next few years. Franklin showed some real bowling flair at the latter part of the second Test match and if he can bowl like that with some consistency we'll have found a powerful foil to the likes of Martin and O'Brien. Southee too is waiting in the wings and has only impressed so far in his young career.

Plus Jeeves is a total gun. Practically all of his wickets were of top order batsman.

We have woman! Unfortunately they are few and far between. But young studs such as ourselves will have no problems in that regard and if all else fails there is expeditions to Australia and SA to poach some of the wildlife to fall back on.

Yeah Mac's tends to be a solid choice, picked up a couple dozen the other day and they were gone in no time at all.

Also digging that Export 33.

lol.

 @NZ fastest bowler going at 78mph.

8-)
Just remember, Daren powell has a better strike rate in ODI than vettori, only their average are the same.
Always thought this but dont really ever get back up. There is some talent there, maybe not good enough to beat the top 3 (India, the Aussies and SA) but definitely will have a close ODI series against NZ and I predict that Windies will give England a lot more trouble than they would have thought, with Bravo coming back and a good star found in Nash.
People tend to forget that NZ is one of the better ODI teams in the world.
Mills is one of the best ODI bowlers in the world, although he has been out of form in the longer form of the game. We will see how he will go in the shorter format, but as someone quite rightly pointed out he is ranked pretty high.

I'm expecting a score line of 4-1 to NZ.
