Amazing ton by ABdV. I've had a few beers, admitedly, but amazing. MOTM for sure, 3 amazing catches, 2 very good knocks. Harsh on Mitch but AB has been a cut above.

What Australia wouldn't want is the WACA to develop a reputation where overseas teams can come and win. India did it last year and South Africa should do it here. Two consecutive losses for Australia at the WACA. No longer is it a place where Australia dominate.
WACA is no longer a fast bowler' paradise on the contrary its kind of become a batsmen' paradise where the pace and bounce of the wicket remains true through the 5 days and there is hardly any seam movement or swing for the bowlers, so all this talk before every Perth test that Aussies should go in with 4 quicks should die for good, and rather than all this thinking about reviving the old nature of the WACA pitch (which they have obviously been incapable of doing so far) they should try to prepare a wicket that would atleast be sporting enough and would give both batsmen and bowlers an equal chance.

Brilliant knock from AB, he has been awesome through the game, flat pitch or not he has been instrumental in this Saffie fightback and the way he has taken the attack to the Aussie bowlers has been remarkable.

Nah this is bull****. There was 18 wickets in the first two days, remember?

It's not been an extremely lively wicket but it's produced a great test and produced a good result. Like I've said before, wickets in Australia always get flatter as the match goes on. Bowling first in Aus isn't such a bad idea IMO, unless it's Adelaide.

Amazing win.

EDIT: Haha Slats, "Ponting will be wondering what went wrong!?" Maybe it's because you played 2 bowlers who aren't good enough and didn't bowl your all-rounder? Perhaps, Slats, perhaps.

flat pitches is no excuse for pathetic bowling,no matter if you play on cement a good
bowling side should bowl a side out before 400 on 4th innings
