I can only see two possible scenarios. A draw, or a NZ collapse resulting in a WI win.

So I would really like NZ to just bat. Would really love to see a NZ batsman score a 100 as well, hopefully How.
One cup of lNZ collective brain freeze + One spoonful of the Windies suddenly reebering how to bowl= scenario two

Good start by NZ. They will do well to get to a lead of around 250 around an hour after lunch and get Windies to bat about 50 overs.

See you Jamie. Get some form in domestic level and work on improving your techniques before coming back. Welcome Guptill.

Howitzer. :(

One more test, he deserves a go at Napier, if he fails there then its goodbye for a bit. Its not as though we have a lot of confidence in the current openers around NZ.

How will end up better than McIntosh anyway, from what I saw of McIntosh in the first dig. Slow pitch and he's late on short pitched stuff. His time may be limited.

Would have been awesome to have them 3 down going into tomorrow. Would have incresed the likelihood of a result.

FFS How.
It looked like we had found one opener in How, but now he's gone to ****.

McIntosh looks crap as well.

Didn't see the point in Mills coming in as Nightwatchman, he offers more value at 9.

New Zealand batting have a better than average chance of collapsing for shocking totals in their second dig after gaining some ascendancy in the first. This is not going to be fixed anytime soon, but it is a work in progress...

Why do TV and Radio commentators love McIntosh so much? He's awful. Heh as no future if he can't play short pitched bowling, whatever Martin Crowe thinks. At least How and Cumming can combat bouncers reasonably. Imagine McIntosh at the WACA vs Lee.

BTW, Chanderpaul now third highest run getter for the WI in Tests. He passed Sobers in that last innings. Richards and Lara ahead of him.

I might throw something at the radio commentators. Martin is not the best bowler in NZ. Mills, O'Brien and Franklin are all superior. The thing is, this is a flat pitch and Taylor did what was expected, unlike many of the specialist batsmen in this test match.

WI posters: Thoughts on Chattergoon? I know he's scored a few runs before this, is this a slump or is he a bit of a fill in until someone better comes along?

Chattergoon is a good prospect IMO.

And as for Mills and O'Brien being better than Martin? Na not when Martin is at his peak. Though Franklin at his peak is superior.

Martin only peaks in SA or on a favourable NZ pitch, which this isn't. Everywhere else he isn't worth much.
