Manuka is a small small ground. Too small for test cricket imo.

Unless it's in England.
Yeah thats basically the reason. It can only hold around 10,000 people. Also coupled with the fact Canberra's population isn't very big (roughly 320,000) and the fact that Sydney is only a 3 hours drive away.

For real how come Canberra hasn't gotten test status yet?. The ground looked pretty good when India played a ODI game @ the venue early this year i thought.

It is a big playing area and is it fact bigger then the MCG, but only holds 13,000 and that is a squeeze

But how many did they get at Brisbane?

Yeah, but it'd be closer for people in regional centres to get to. Upgrade it IMO. If Hobart can, Canberra can.

Overseas anyone?

Is there anyone looking to play as an overseas for the 2009 English summer?
We have had several successful overseas players and will discuss flight, accomodation and job opportunity packages!

We are preferably looking for a strike pace bowler who is a top order batsman but we will also consider spinners with the same batting attributes. A proactive and friendly community club!
